A continuation of the last thread because the elves are lazy. Lazy!
You should have your confirmations by now, and if not, it's because the elves are lazy. Lazy!
Discuss initials, creative endeavors, shared proto-Christmas spirit etc
Secret S/a/nta - A thesis on the lethargy of elves in November
>tfw you already got 3 cards done
Low effort printouts don't count.
>people who just list 4-5 series with no context or reason
>people who just list 4-5 female names (some with their series if you're lucky) with no context or reason
>people who list video games
>people who list gacha
>'people' who list vtubers
Coal-worthy wishlists indeed....I mean really, how hard is it to write about your on-topic interests as you would a pen friend?
Posting because, once again, the Elves are lazzy fucks who need a toe up their ass to work and already took their sweet time sending out the lists
For any questions/comments/concerns/death threats please hit [them] up at [email protected]. [They]'re long past the deadline now so if you are still trying to sign up, don't.
///General FAQs///
> What is Secret S/a/nta?
A chance to give, receive and post gifts and be a part of an experience with other Zig Forumsnons locally, nationally, or even globally with a bit of X-mas spirit!
> Who is hosting this event? Can I help out?
Your lazy hosts are now Santa Loli, Santafaggot, SpoonSanta, Santa’s Elf, SantaCake SantaBucket, SantaTrap, and SantaGrunt. [They] are not accepting new Santas at this time. (All of them, L A Z Y!!!!)
> How do I join the gift exchange?
Wait until next year, the signup period was throughout October.
> Why should I trust this?
It's up to you. [They]’ve had multiple successful SS events hosted for the past few years.
Although the average amount of people not receiving gifts is low, the risk still exists. Please be aware that your mileage will vary. However, [they] do provide a grinched protection program which lets people send gifts to those who didn't receive anything at all... even after X-mas!
> Can I give you guys stuff?
If you want. I think Santa Loli might have a PO box by now, ask her about it. The other Santas will do what they feel like.
> I ALREADY JOINED, HOW DO I FIX SOMETHING?
Send [them] an email about it. Now that assignments are out, please try not to unless it's something critical like your address.
> Is the price of shipping included in the price tier?
No shipping costs are not included in the tier.
> When are the threads going to be?
Threads are created only on Fridays/weekends until we get closer to X-mas. In the cases where all the helpers are LAZY, a disgruntled cardmaker will make one in their place and pan them on their laziness.
///COVID-19 Change FAQs///
> Am I going to be responsible for lost/late gifts this year?
All gift senders MUST provide a tracking number this year.
Please send it as a response to your gift assignment. If your post doesn’t provide this service or you cannot afford it, then you must send us a picture of what you’re shipping. If and only if you do this, you will not be responsible for what happens to your gift after you ship it. Your user will be anti-grinched if it does not arrive.
> What’s a handmade gift?
Take a look around in the threads. You’ll see plenty of examples of knitting, laser cut wood, horrifying waifu masks, and much much more. People bake cookies/brownies, or buy snacks and booze local to their country. You may not get out what you put in, but remember that giving is the most important part.
> Do you have any other helpful tips for me?
Start everything early. It will take time to receive your gift and to send it out.
Get stuff bought as soon as possible and ship it as soon as you can.
Pay attention to your local postal service’s guidelines.
Be aware that prices may have increased dramatically since you last shipped something. Holiday price surges are incoming.
SAL mail has been suspended indefinitely, so prepare to plan around that too.
Don’t send a hand-made gift or food if you’re feeling sick.
Don’t go delivering gifts IRL, even if someone lives nearby to you.
What can I say? I'm a fast and decent artist who's got plenty of construction paper.
>people who just list 4-5 series with no context or reason
Crap, I did list why I liked the shows at first but I deleted it later on because I thought the list should be shorter.
Depends on what they like. Sometimes it's good to keep things simple with favorite characters from favorite series. It's not really necessary to go on a long spiel about how your waifu found you.
Initials time - all 5 of you should be glad to hear you've got none other than me, the great and rightous (and handsome) Anonymous, one of the last people who lurk an obscure part of the second most obscure part of the website after >>>/j/ (a clue for people who had me last year), sorting out a high-effort /ss/ for you
Now let's get into it;
DG from Ireland
You're the one on my Giftlist, and though you've listed some franchises, I'm still at a loss for what you generally like/looking for in terms of gifts. If you want to clarify (which in the context of /ss/, is usually what you don't want in case you've got others around for when you open it / allergies), go ahead, but otherwise I'll just go for something miscellaneous from your tastes and hope you like it.
Cardwise, I should be fine though. I could take more details, but at the same time, it's not really necessary
VS from Netherlands
>using a pseudonym
lmfao faggot
Otherwise, I've got plenty to work with, thanks, though more details would not be remise
C- from IL, USA
I'm guessing it's your first time doing /ss/ (mainly because my first one looked almost the same before I twigged how things 'went' with /ss/ and asked the elves to send a revision), I'll give you a few days to give some more stuff to work with via email (since it's kinda barren as is, it's just a list of franchises), but if not I'll try to work with what I've got
LB from Australia
Probably the best one I've got to work with, given your shit taste makes it so easy to bully you! Thanks!
NM from MN, USA
Pretty anaemic, if you could give me a bit more scope / what you generally like outside of just female names that'd be great (genres etc) in case I could do something better/more creative, but otherwise I think I could do something with what I've got
M from Australia, I've hopefully gotten your gift sorted out. Fingers crossed.

I'll start working on your cards starting from tonight. I've already got some good ideas for them so I'm hoping for good outcomes here.
>wanna get my user a limited edition BD
>$70 and I'm still thinking of getting other stuff
I've missed editing the pics to make into cards. And as far as initials go, I already posted them in previous thread. Go check there if you're that desperate
the latter (anime girl santa figs). on one hand they're pretty damn cute and it sounds nice to open on christmas day but on the other I don't really see someone keeping it up year long ya know?
>for two of my Anons, I don't really know what their faves are like due to not lurking
>>both are double cour anime
Wish me luck Anons, I'm pulling an all-nighter to understand what my Anons like.
I think as long as they're good quality figs it shouldn't be a problem. I for one would love to receive one
Watch them at 2x speed
>user listed Ishuzoku Reviewers
So I suppose sending him lewd as fuck card is perfectly fair game?
Fortunately I've seen most of my user's favorites. Still need to watch the anime his waifu is from though.
You're pretty much obligated to.
I got you

At least you didn't get an user whose first choice is Monogatari. I started the first season just this week too, and now I feel like I have to binge it
>people who just list 4-5 female names (some with their series if you're lucky) with no context or reason
I only got 2 names, and I had to google them both to find out they are from the same idol show!
God I just want one year where I get a guy with ok taste, I fucking hate makeing cards for idiot idol fags!
Huh, I just realized that this was probably the first year where I didn't get any people who listed Monogatari. And to think this was the year I actually started watching it too.
tsundere anons are just the cutest
I didn't get my initials posted last thread! Am I allready grinched!
I'll put love and kisses into your card but if you speak to me in thread I fucking hate you, your taste is trash and want you dead for Christmas!
>reminded again that you missed the fucking deadline
Yes.
>feel bad for not making a better wishlist
Should I go send a bunch of extra details for my santa now just in case?
If you feel like you have to, otherwise just accept the bully.
get ready for cards

As someone who has Ishuzoku Reviewers on their list (and may or may not be your user), 100% yes.
>at 2x speed
There aren't 'people' out here who do this right? I mean, literal fucking speedwatchers have to be the lowest of the low consumers of the medium.
Negro you had a fucking month, what the hell was wrong with you?
Alway do this, it's better to prostrate and send something more for your Santa to work with to get a better gift; especially with how much effort some of the people here put in for their gift-ee's.
