>Jormungand >Black Lagoon >The Princess and the Pilot >Jin-Rou >Gunslinger Girls >Future War
These are the best realistic war anime I can find (atleast by anime standards) with little to no fantasy or extreme sci-fi elements, with gun fighting as the main source of the action. Others that do include more Sci-Fi/Fantasy elements however:
>Trigun >Canaan >Youjo Senki >GATE >GITS: SAC >First Squad: The Moment of Truth >Hellsing (2001) >91 Days
Any others I'm missing from this very niche list I'm filling?
/k/ coming to Zig Forums always makes the most comfy threads. I find that generally you won't find the feel of modern warfare, and modern weaponry at the same place. Mecha and fantasy will often use genuine real world war tactics as a point of realism, it makes the world believable and the struggles feel real. Realistic, modern guns are often thrown into non war series to make them more cool or to increase action. You forgot Cowboy bebop and cat shit one.
hum yeah but no, tons of police officers who already shot someone with a .45 switched back to 9mm, the reason being that the power difference between the two isn't that high to begin with and because they'd rather have more ammo than less when they need to shoot someone on drugs. there's was a study on that. so in theory the .45 is more powerful but in reality the 9mm guns simply have more ammo (i'm talking about guns issued for the police forces).

Jormungand had the best military scenarios >Marines recognized as actual frontline regular Joe grunts, media often portrays them as special forces >duped and beaten by the protagonists >meanwhile the real special forces, a Seal Team, show up and outshines the marines in every way without being totally JAPANESE about it >special forces calmly untie their comrades, then pursue the enemies >protagonists almost die as if they were just common guns for hire and mercenaries, which in reality they are Shit was cash youtube.com/watch?v=bRJ-lBxQQds
Fuck yeah The anime included an instructor who knew how to make her male student feel right at home. She even shared him with her female friend after getting her drunk.
Jormungand is great but its just a poor man's Black Lagoon, still a nice show tho.

Bebop really had great gunplay, just people didn't seem to bother much. The movie was peak gunplay tho.

.45's low capacity is only relevant when talking about cheap guns. The police get shafted on funding so they can't afford anything like double stack 1911s which carry 14. A lot less of a gap than regular .45s and it makes it a clear winner in the .45 vs 9mm battle.
