Now that the dust have settled, was Kill la Kill a bad anime?
Now that the dust have settled, was Kill la Kill a bad anime?
No.
No, and probably one of the most secure spots on best of all time.
Watch how people in 10-20 years asking why can't anime be more like 2010 anime, naming works such as kill la kill.
It was decent in the first half, not that good on the second half. Could have been much better.
Showed a lot of promise at the start but it ended up being pretty weak
No it succeeded in being a lot of fun
First half was okay, second was just bad.
NO BRA BAKA GENKI
Yes.
It was alright, though the story and writing seemed to get worse as it went on. It had a lot of cool things, and managed to introduce them fairly well, but it didn't really seem to work them suitably into the story. By the end though it still wasn't really bad, so much as being unfortunate.
best shit ever. and nothing came even close to it ever after. some say it saved anime. I say it fucking killed it. it was too good and we didn't deserve it. animation studios are all still fucking mad about it and just cant do anything good any longer. dumbfounded. they gave up and stopped even trying.
I actually liked the parent plot reveal
Nui should've been captured and punished after Ryuko took her arms
It was mediocre the whole way through unless you are Hiroyuki fanboys that love whatever he puts out.
Excessively terrible. Luckily it wasn’t influential.
It was trash that just got artificially hyped by the legacy of TTGL (like Franxx). The production was embarrassingly ugly.
kill la kill was the last good anime
It was OK, but its emblematic of the problems with Trigger. It has some really cool ideas and the voice acting is phenomenal but it squanders its potential and while it looks good most of the action sequences are mediocre.
Only the first half was bad, the second was absolutely great
Mankanshoku's Manko!
These are the correct opinions. One of the most 7/10 anime I have ever watched.
>hyped for another TTGL/PSG experience with Zig Forums
>realize during episode 2 that KLK couldn’t meet that standard
>newfags eating up the hype
>PSG experience with Zig Forums
Post the day Gainax Ruined christmas
>hyped for RE Cutie Honey: "Imaishi doesn't get replaced by mediocre directors after one episode edition"
>get exactly that
>TTGL babies are confused and angry
Fixed for you.
What the fuck are you babbling about? Your .gif looks better than 99% of KLK by the way.
It was a good anime. The problem is that it was also a stupid anime. The characters were likable and the visuals were great. The gags were hit or miss based on your tastes. The story has a message, but good knows that message wasn't played as strongly as TTGL. And the plot/conflict is less emotionally impactful/relevant to the viewers when compared to other works.
The show is: My mom killed my dad because he didn't want me to be alien Hitler and now I'm seeking revenge. But I guess I also gotta save the world.
>What the fuck are you babbling about?
Holy newfag.
RE Cutie Honey is where Imaishi and Nakashima met and first worked together. Imaishi directed the first episode, but unfortunately only that one. KLK was Imaishi a Nakashima was taking that setup again and follow up on it without interference.
I swear, TTGL babies know fucking nothing.
Nobody cares about baby's first overrated nagai fap bait, pseud.
First half was incredible.
Second half was a bit wishy washy.
Last 3 episodes were back to being incredible.
OVA was decent.
Wish that one-cut scene with the secretary wasn't cut because they missed a huge plot point with that and it made the rest of the series sloppy with a big plot hole.
Still waiting for that Slice of Life episode OVA.
Perfect OVA would be a feature length of three parts.
First part is a day in the city, expanding on what we saw in the credits. Second part is a beach episode featuring all the compliments, final part is the group retiring for the night to a traditional hotsprings hotel.
Nothin' but comfy feels.
up until 16 its amazing imo, shouldve been way less plot focused and more episodic
the main story is pretty eh already but the main problem with the last third of it is easily the characters though. both ragyo and harime nui are worthless hateable characters that serve only as plot devices, and the other characters arcs are halted just to kill time for the premature resolution.
Basically everything during Ryuko's edgy-faze was a bit naff' everything else was solid gold.
Fucking this
>mom of the year
But Anno was less director on that so it's really his fault if you think it was bad in the last 2 episodes (it wasn't)
>harime nui
>worthless
>hateable
wait, wait, wait.. what?
It was funny.
I am thinking about getting the game on Steam on xmas. Has anyone played it?
shes just an annoying plot device. theres really no reason to care about her because she has no solid self centered motivations. from the episode she was introduced i knew KLK was gonna go downhill
