The chapter played out very much as expected based on the spoilers and scans.
The confession is a bit half-baked, and it ending in a cliffhanger is ... well ... let's see what the next chapter makes of it. Judging things right now is pretty much impossible.
I'd still argue that it needs to speed up very soon if 22i wants to have a believable romantic conclusion within nine (or rather eight, without the epilogue) chapters. But I'm also still quite positive about it. I do enjoy how cozy these chapters are.
