Whatever you want to say about the masters in Zero, at least they all acted consistently and were much less belligerently annoying. Even the most "annoying" characters (Waver and Caster-kun) redeemed themselves, Waver by being blessed with the chaddest fucking character ever as a servant and Caster dude basically not being on screen at all.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Fate/stay night. The storytelling is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of philosophy most of the themes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Shirou's distorted worldview, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Zig Forums literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these elements, to realize that they're not just there to look cool- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Fate/stay night truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Shirous's existential catchphrase "I am the bone of my sword," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kinoku Nasu's genius wit unfolds itself on their screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Saber tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Almost none of masters/servants in F/SN pass their tests. Over half of them explicitly don't have any goals or ambitions, and those that supposedly do abandon them at the drop of a hat. They are not characters, but plot props given shape.

There were only 2 masters in fate zero that passed your retarded test(Kirei and waver) and one of them is not even a fate zero character.

Actually every single one of the masters passes. Even the serial killer. Of the servants Assassin fails, and Berserker questionably fails.
