my hot take on it is that the dishes represents techniques and his idea of fighting in general, which is to absorb most things experienced
on the other hand against musashi that time he went into the fight with the sole purpose of killing him, so he removed all the things considered unnecessary in order to only do the most optimal

Olivia doesn't matter, restu doesn't matter, only Yujiro does. And he wins v everyone but Yuchiro, Baki and Minamoto for free.

Yuchiro is a plot point more than an actual character, he exists purely to make Yujiro's backstory of knowing he's the strongest as a child make 0 sense. Its hard to know who'd win.
Kaku killed himelf to avoid being hit by yujiro, hanayama got 1 shot knocked out by a casual hit.
That entire team, except maybe yuchiro, loses to Yujiro.

Baki loses to his dad. Getting punched to the point of being nearly blind and deaf while doing 0 actual damage to Yujiro is literally the best he ever did. Its far, far, far above the level of basically everyone else, who literally commit suicide to avoid being hit by Yujiro or got casually 1 shot, up until Minamoto. But its still just sad. Like really sad.
Pickle ran like a bitch from Minamoto, who is weaker than Yujiro.
That entire team loses to yujiro.

Jack is the weakest hanma in the series by far despite being made of 99% steroids. He doesn't matter.
Sukune may be a threat, he is initiated, but right now hasn't shown anything to suggest he'd do much to yujiro. Bodying olivia doesn't matter, Yujiro did that himself with just as little effort, he just didn't decide to breakj his back.
Miyamoto always fought like a fucking retard and maybe could be a bit of a threat if he actually fought properly for once. But he won't. So he loses.

Since being revived musashi wanted to test his strength vs modern society. The images he seen represented the glory of what he'd gain from overcoming that opponent. Bakis mindset going into the musashi fight had ruined that glory for musashi since he corrupted his ideals and changed his fighter mentality or something like that I think
