Everyone knows the coolest evil organization in Anime/Manga is Akatsuki. But what about the coolest good guys organization? For me the Pillars of KNY take the cake

They're all jobbers except for Uzui and Rengoku and his only fight was him jobbing!
Bleach shinigami captains are cooler.

These guys are lame though and most have shitty designs.

What is it with Japan and child soldiers?

Rengoku is the only one that jobbed though, if you take jobbing to mean ‘strong dude who got destroyed by some other dude just to show his powerlevel’

Rengoku and Uzui are superjobbers only less jobby as Mitsuri. The whole organization save for Muichiro, Gyomei and Sanemi are all lower moon tier.

They barely even feel like a team and didn't care much or interacted with each other at all. In the one time they needed teamwork their strategy entirely boiled down to "just let Himejima do all the work while we kill ourselves". Their backstories are dumped right before they die in a flashback in a cheap attempt to make you give a shit about them
overall 7/10 at least there was himejima

Kids like being the hero of the story

Who cares about jobbing, they have fun/likable personalities and that's all that matters to me

They were unremarkable personally wise as well

PANDRA is better, evil X-Men

>What is it with Japan and child soldiers?
Aren't the pillars adults?

>The whole organization save for Muichiro, Gyomei and Sanemi are all lower moon tier.
Beg your pardon?

Idk about coolest- since that's pretty subjective. But I enjoyed the pillars a lot. They're a fun bunch and they each worked really well as foils against their respective major fights.

Most of the time, hero v. Villian foiling in shounen- i'd pick up a handful that actually felt right and fitting. But KnY pretty much exceeded at this- as I could find something to compare and contrast on or a commonality with virtually every major V.S for each character. And it never felt like Obito v. Naruto levels of stupid- it always made more sense the more time I spent with it.

I just realized it, do they count?

Phantom troupe > all

He was going to job to Akaza had it not been for flashback ex machina to save him and Tanjiro.

Lower moon demons are fodders to pillars. That’s why Muzan killed the rest of the lower moons. All the pillars destroy the lower moons with ease.
The upper moon demons where the ones who were the true threat. The upper moon demons managed to live for one hundred years without a slayer being able to kill them. And none of the pillars can take on an upper moon 1v1 unless it is Kaigaku due to him being only a demon for a short amount of time instead of a hundred years.

Nobody can beat Akaza except for maybe Gyomei and that's a big MAYBE

Mui was 14, yet also the only one to solo an UM

Even Gyomei can’t beat Akaza because he managed to remove the weakness of being decapitated. Akaza only lost because he let himself die by stopping himself from regenerating.

But Akaza was leagues above the others upper moons tho

Which is my point exactly. The pillars who aren't Gyomei, Sanemi and Muichiro are only good for shit shoveling and nothing else, jobbing janitors.

But Gyomei, Sanemi, Muichiro aren’t shit anyway. They can’t beat Hantengu, Akaza, Douma, and Koku alone. So they are the same level as the rest of the pillars.

Pawns in the machine, relatable?
Not sure I'd call NERV the good guys.

Do you really believe they can't beat Hantengu?
most of his strength comes from his gimmick which most of the hashiras would be able to nullify

I’d wager GODjima could pulverise Hantengu completely before he even gets a chance to split into the emotions. Top 3 moons are just retarded strong and near impossible to 1v1 though.

The thing I liked about the pillars was that they knew that everyone except Himejima was weak as shit, so they all relied on him and put their lives on the line knowing he would be able to defeat whoever they were fighting against.

Even characters who never fought alongside him (like Uzui or Shinobu) still had flashbacks or thoughts about how strong he was and that alone gave them enough strength to keep fighting.

Shinobu saw his strength firsthand when he saved her ass though

It is funny, Normally earth is the useless/side/underdeveloped element

>the good guys are so caotic good they end up become worse than the main villain
I feel like i am the only one who is like Jigokuraku on Zig Forums
