Shiki

"You know, when you think about it logically,
>Bites into child's throat
aren't all death the same?
>Feeds old lady to dogs
I mean, how can you blame us for simply trying to get by?
>Commits genocide on a village
It's not like we asked to be vampires or anything.
>Threatens people into killing and serving them.
There's no real difference between our feeding and you killing livestock.
>Refuses any sort of compromise, because muh 'how can you possibly stop yourself from eating an entire pig all in one go?'
You should be blaming God, not us for simply following our instincts.
>Has people slowly and methodically murder their whole families.
If anything, don't you guys think you're being close-minded? Just because we're a little different!"

I want to be a Jinrou.

I hate the priest.
>do nothing for 24 episodes

>get to run away with a loli vampire
Spineless coward.

Murdering your own wife is wrong.

I'd do the same thing in a heartbeat. Fuck the village, not my problem.

Not if you can make a perfectly good and guilt-free snuff film out of it.

There was nothing to be a coward about, he had a deep hatred for everything about his life and people in general

Choose your fighter.

>wiped out an entire village with no endgame whatsoever
It tainted my enjoyment of the story. Not once was it explained how they would handle an exponentially increasing vampire population of which every single individual had to feed every single night, and how a normal person would always die after only a few feedings and might even become another vampire that needs to eat. All in a tiny remote village. If they had even a half-assed attempt at making it sustainable, then it would have been much easier to sympathize with them. Erasing a whole village with literally no plan deserves the worst torture and deaths possible.

Threadly reminder that Sunako did nothing wrong

Can anyone explain to me why didnt the vampires simply turn the village into a farm. They already annihilated the previous one right?
>enslave all the kids/weak minded/easily impressionable
>literally put them in chains
>breed them as livestock asap
>at no point should a female have her belly empty
>the more the better
>stable supply of humans
>when they grow infertile just feed them until they become ultra fat pigs
>its not like non humans need the regular food
>suck them dry
>repeat
>while setting it up in the early stages keep kidnapping and sucking off humans from surrounding villages
>their population keeps getting smaller making it easier to kidnap more young or dumb people you can easily brainwash
like pointed. What the fuck was their plan? Keep eating villages and then move to the city? Then what?

And she got away with EVERYTHING.

The author is retarded. The vampires are 100% in the wrong, they're not just killers either, they're sadistic psychopaths.
"just die plz it's my nature xD"

There was no moral dilemma here. Even if the humans acted retarded and started to kill anybody who's remotely suspicious, but then again the situation was chaotic and they had to expect the worse in the face of a literal magical threat.

I was thinking more of feeding rotations to prevent humans from dying, maybe even attempts at negotiating with the survivors especially once their cover was blown. But sure your shit-tier human farming fetish could have worked too.

she paid more than the doc

She can regain those followers in a month. He lost his wife and half the village.

It's been a while since I watched, but Sunako was lonely from wandering from place to place feeding. She wanted to indulge in a vampire community. A small, remote village was the best thing for this. It's mentioned there are vampires assigned to neighboring cities to bring blood back, I was under the assumption that's how they would secure food. Her plan was high risk, it failed, and she lost everything.

Looks like vampires are getting popular again. So many new vampire series recently.

It's really weird how Shiki is still talked about here, you'd expect this sort of anime to drift into obscurity after a couple years

Humans grow too slow to be good for farming. When you have cities with millions some people going missing is way easier and faster.

Aoi Yuuki loli vamp. It's never going away.

I dont have a human farming fetish but its the safest bet
>feeding rotations
blood takes months to refill
>negotiating
it was implied it was tried in the past and ended the exact same way every time. Say they tried one more time. Who would they ask for help? Some wouldnt believe, others would try and kill them right off and the guberment would do like the doc and experiment on them. Blood donations are in demand without vampires so turning the whole thing into mcdonalds wouldnt work either. Who would rather feed a monster than save his living family?
>after their cover was blown
"yeah we are vampires and killed half of you with the intention of killing more of you but hey now that our cover is blown how about a peace treaty? Oh also some of the dead came back but not all of them xd"
By the time their cover was blown it was way too late for negotiations

can't murder whats already dead

it was an autopsy

What was even the point in the story in general? Humans were in the right from the start.
