They should have figured out a better way to have the old characters in the background without horning in on the kids' Main Characterness. Having a bunch of mystery shit about where is Sesh, Inukag, etc. takes away from the kids right away while also making it so when you eventually resolve where the parents are all the Inuyasha fans will want to see them.
