It's alright. The episodic stories don't really have enough detail to be very interesting but it's a comfy enough show.

She massacred sheep.

First watched as a teen and thought it was very thought-provoking.
Saw again many years later and realized it was actually superficial and pretentious.

She's a fucking glutton.

Cannibal sheeps, to be precise.

it varies from episode to episode. some episodes actually ARE though provoking while some are not

No, they just wanted to beat up nerds.

I like it. kino and mushishi are my favorite animes

It's thought provoking for teens, who are the intended audience. Sounds like you became superficial and pretentious.

I watched it last week and loved it. I like the whole concept of traveling between different countries and Kino herself is a great character. Other anons said that the episodic stories are superficial or not detailed enough which is valid in some cases, but I thought they were all at least very entertaining and fun. I looked at the newer anime but decided not to watch it because it's not green enough and I prefer the 2003 Kino design.

Only the first anime.

What did you think of Byouki no Kuni? The animation was cool but overall it actually felt a little underwhelming compared to an episode of the actual show.

You should check out corto maltese by hugo pratt. It is strucutral very similar with mostly episodic stories about corto traveling somewhere and facing some kind of moral dilemma.

It's not very subtle about its themes, but it is quite interesting nonetheless.

thanks

For years, I actually thought the term kino came from this Kino, because it's kino or something, I guess.

Its a europen comic though. Best albums are probably the celts, golden house of samarkand and fable of venice. Ballad of the salty sea is worst in my opinion. Albums 2 to 5 feature only short stories but afterwards most albums are on ongoing story.

once you get even older you'll go back to realizing it was thought provoking

Very kino!!

The episode about the books was peak kino

Kino is peak kino

If they had to change the artstyle they should've done it like how Byouki no Kuni looked.

It's pretty Kino.

I've watched hundreds of anime, and 2003 Kino is still my favorite. Legit inspired me to hitchhike across Japan.
