How come Attack on Titan lost its momentum?

Remember when this series was new and everyone talked about it? Now it's One Piece, people just feel obligated to finish it but don't really have much to say about it. The threads used to be a healthy discussion and now they got reduced to waifufagging and memes. It just doesn't have that same kind of hype it used to, I remember when people were constantly excited for what was going to happen next and now it is treated like a generic manga that lost its shine.

It's stopped being good when they reached the basement.

4 years between season 1 and season 2. That's it.
The hype inevitably dies down if you don't sustain it.

The moment Eren went Titan is the moment it fell to shit.
It should have been just a normal humanity vs (insert monster)

But noooo. You just have to pile one convoluted mess after another

Nanoha, Aria, and Haruhi say otherwise

This
Extremely big gap
Teens that watched this simply moved on

It is now a never ending argument about time travel, based genocide or cringe genocide, fake memories, along with one giant episode of Maury.

There was no where to go cuz walls

The slog between BRY escaping and Erwin dying soured me on the manga. Literally waited months for chapters where nothing happened

can this meme die already

nobody talks about those either, you're just a nerd

hard agree, always felt this way

Because it turned into another Nazi WWII analogy and the people are fed up with it.

Or maybe you are just being an annoying troll making obnoxious bait threads which is per usual for Zig Forums nowadays.

Go back to your boring edgy “Muh survival” story death porns buddy.

Except that the Eldians are jewish and Marley attacking Paradis for it’s oil alludes more to America and the Middle East.

There hasn't been any mention whatsoever of Marleyan knowledge of the Iceburst stones. That is the reason for the Azumabito family's interest in the island, not Marley. Marley wants to kill the Devils of Paradis.

Kaiju #8 also screws up with this. What is the point to adding all these weapons and the point to this 20 & 30% percent bullshit if the MC can just transform and box his enemies dead?

it was gay
gay from the start
on the same level as my hero, naruto, DBZ, one piece, ect

Yeah Uprising was when the series lost me too.

It was never that good to begin with

When the big mystery that was propping up the entire serieswas revealed.
>ooh okay so they *are* actually people okay cool. Now what

Dumb nigger return to Shiganshina was the best arc of the entire series.

This. You could've still had those atypical titans who perhaps start fighting against other titans for reasons, but the moment it became meat mecha it just kept plummeting and getting more convoluted.

Because it tries to pretend to be deep and mature when it's more childish than Naruto.

Isayama is a fucking hack.

lurk moar newfag

Yeah it did a lot of damage didn’t it? I mean season 2 was fantastic and there was a lot of excitement and discussion at the time but it was probably only half as much as it should’ve been right?

Probably unpopular opinion, but when the mystery about the whole titans deal stopped being a mystery and it became another dimension of human politics, it really fell off the cliff for me. It went from the closest thing we got to MLA before it was actually announced to a fantasy gundam, and not one of the good ones.

Wow japanese fans are vocal about the final arc and they are not happy. Theyre discontented with the way eren's character is going and the whole genocide. I guess they were holding out hope for a lelouch route. There's even a petition that's garnered thousands of signatures to have the story changed. Obviously that wont happen but it shows how unhappy they are.

Based nips.
