I want to be a certified public accountant

>I want to be a certified public accountant

Was this supposed to be impressive? What a faggot

It's not a bad thing if he's aiming to be a partner at a big accounting firm or the CFO of a listed company.

i don't think he was trying to impress her

He wasn't, but he mocked her right after

Ay least it wasn't the generic "I want to be a teacher" of most rom-coms.

Why would your dream job be impressive to anyone but yourself?

Why did he mock her right after that?

Accountants will never ever get outdated or replaced, that profession requires a really specific personality, unlike your pyshics/engineering faggots who just like maths xddd.

because her goal was to be a simple housewife despite having high grades

Seethe more retard who can't even into math.
Accounting requires to be good at math too retarded faggot.

Everything will be replaced, you lack imagination when it comes to AI’s

He's nothing like the Flash at all.

>I want my job to be automated
At least aim for investment banking lol.
Those nice, nice insider info are worth millions.

Once physical money gets outlawed say bye bye to your profession

implying multinational bartering system wouldn't need accountants

become a CPA and CA is no joke, a lot of misery must be through to get that certification

Accounting need to be good at logical thinking than mathematics

not for next 80 years, cause of human logic is not automated like Computer Logic. Accountant still be needed because computer logic is too rigid and too honest.

>Accountant job is counting MONEY! He he he

In what way does accounting require better logical thinking than engineering does?

Holy based.

the common problem and often faced by accountant is always about the efficient and effective way to process a new information so it will bring more profit or at least minimize the loss

for example
if your company are relying more to computer assisted program for doing accounting job, than at the end of taxation reporting, pretty sure your company will pay more tax to gov. But by also bringing accountant to this, he will also help to do adjustment, finding the possible gap in taxation rules, and also manage your company tax so at the end of taxation reporting, your company will pay less than actual normal calculation.

just look at jeff bezos tax

Because the monetary needs to people, families, and businesses involve variables not easily plugged into a computer? It doesn’t require “better” logic than anything but it’s complex enough to need a degree.

you think accountant is not into inner circle? lol

Basically, it has a shit ton of variables that don't easily fit into a program and even if it's possible to create one, you would need an accountant to regulate it.
AI can do a lot of stuff but we're nowhere near the levels you're thinking of.

If I work towards becoming a CPA, how much would I want to kill myself along the way?

pretty much, because what you are facing is the test, not how knowledgeable you are

>how did you know that?

me failed 3 times test and must repeat even though i have scholarship for doing CA and CPA test

But that's the perfect goal for a woman. If only that was what all girls wanted

As somebody who tried doing Accounting in college and had to switch to Business Management instead, the credit requirements not allowing too many electives combined with notoriously tough courses fit only for those with a truly adept thought style is the worst. I didn't even take some of the most challenging courses either before I switched and even then it was super difficult.

I'm surprised anons don't know this. In East Asia, accounting is one of the most prestigious/sought after degrees. It's the kind of degree a parent would push their child into getting, like law or medicine.
They always get so shocked when I tell them how it's seen in the west lol.

Any tips or things you know now that you would have told yourself when you just started?

Yes how disgraceful for someone to want to raise a family.

just listen to your lecturer and always do summary to every subjects.
Also learn it by doing it (have internship) and make connection quick to your senior

This, my uncle is one and you must be some devious bastard to get through, aside from math and logical thinking it is also needed to be good at negotiation and persuasion.

Study like your life is on the line. The first Accounting specific course or two is manageable if you're trying but once it starts to ramp up in difficulty it doesn't stop. Also general course advice like "ask professor questions" or "study with other students" would help too.

>needed to be good at negotiation and persuasion.
only to make assure other shithead workers or your boss not to intervene in your job
basically
>"Hey, i am doing it on my way. So if you don't know any shit about accounting etc, never ever to intervene MY TURF!"
Other than that, accountant really don't care because it's always supporting job, but a vital one

One more question accountanons. Would studying and progressing through the books in charts like these go a long way? I know how the CPA test goes, but just curious.

also after fourth semester, you better start focusing which accounting study is better for you. Cuz accounting major has several different studies:
>Financial Accounting
>Managerial Accountring
>Taxation
>Accountring Information System
>Audit and Assurance Related
>Other Accounting realted (Like gov, financial reporting)

If all your ambitions is to stay at home, then why even bother to go to school or study?

Because it's better not to be ignorant even if you're not a rocket scientist.
