Kimetsu No Yaiba literally didn't do anything innovative. It beat One Piece's sales by 9 times, it doesn't make any sense.
Kimetsu No Yaiba literally didn't do anything innovative. It beat One Piece's sales by 9 times...
npcs want shit you turn you brain off to, not innovation.
It looked cool and was fun to watch and felt like a unique experience that, at the same time, reminded you of other things you'd enjoyed.
It was actually the first shonen fighting kind of anime I've watched but it still felt nostalgic.
Things don't necessarily need to be overly complex, or even innovative for most to find it entertaining, it also helps that it has easy reach for normalfags.
Ufotable are too strong
Garbage normie trash
Are you implying that One Piece did something "innovative" or even "good," user?
Oda weaves dozens of plot threads at a time without fucking up.
Anime was well produced and came out near enough to the end that you could basically catch up just as it was climaxing. Tough to get into One piece and have 99 volumes to read
Plus, there's Nezuko. The fact that she's totally wearing a bit gag at all times and is kept in a tiny box, but actually not really but kind of, is key. She activates feelings of pleasure for the submissiveness that the viewer recognizes via the bamboo gag; for both male and female viewers this is appealing, for different reasons, and it happens without them realizing it. One of the mostly unspoken fetish characters in anime.
Endgame didn't do anything innovative and is has the biggest box office in history.
>Kimetsu No Yaiba literally didn't do anything innovative. It beat One Piece's sales by 9 times, it doesn't make any sense.
I mean, that's the reason why it was so successful. Comparing it to one piece lmao. It actually had an ending, it isn't endless garbage.
it might not be a great anime but it most certainly is 9 times better than one piece
It was simply the better series.
who cares when they're all garbage
that sounds like a nice way of saying "he doesnt keep attention for long on any one thing"
All the characters have their own separate goals, so of course.
>without fucking up.
the story is meh but the characters are likeable and the animation is great.
havent seen the movie yet, but im guessing its good if it sold that much
They got more fujoshit audience.
I really really want to receive a handjob from Nezuko. Those long fingernails get me so goddamn hard.
the fujos already have bnha.
Yeah, that's the point. It's so vanilla and entry level it has the broadest possible audience.
they're never satisfied
most jump stuff has broad appeal.
Series is pretty straightforward without much filler bullshit. Its average, but not mediocre average. Plus Ufotable pretty much put it on the map.
that may be the secret actually. it's the same formula as other shounen but there is literally no filler in it.
cute
It doesn't have to be innovative. It's a compact (relatively speaking) story that flows well and maintains focus.
the industry will be forever stagnant if this stuff continues to succeed.
Why is Wan Piss so bad compared to KnY
"this stuff" has succeeded for a long, long time and will continue to succeed. Not to the same degree each time obviously but succeed nonetheless.
You don't need to re invent the wheel. I know you think because you already saw your generation's version of this that there's no point for them to do it again, but there is. Every generation get's their small shows to grow up. Young kids want to see something new made for them, not the same thing that was made for you.
You would enjoy it if this was your first ride.
Its anime is like 100 times better than One Piece.
