Castlevania's had 2 mangas, so it's technically Zig Forums. With the shitty abomination of a Netflix series ending soon, what would you guys want out of a Japanese Castlevania anime?
Castlevania
Cool vampires.
This. The games have Dracula, Alucard, Carmilla, Olrox, Gilles, Walter and Joachim.
An anime about him.
I want an adaptation of Lament of Innocence.
War of 1999. It's never getting a game, so a 13 episode anime would be neat
Based, I want to see Julius team up with Alucard and the Belnades of that era take down Dracula for good.
Also based, but it would have to adapt the mobile manga that was released years ago.
This is the only correct answer, that or an adaptation of the novel
No gay shit
Vampire Hunter D aesthetics or, you know, the original Ayami Kojima aesthetics instead of the dumbed down, zoomer garbage, watered modern anime look (good fucking luck with that in 20fucking20)
Actual vampire killing
No gay shit
No trite O MY COMICALLY EBIL CHURCH
A proper Dracula's castle, a gigantic, chaotic labirynth
No gay shit
DEATH, WHERE THE FUCK IS DEATH
Michiru Yamane OST
I'm a fan of classicvania, but honestly I see Lament of Innocence story working well as anime (or better yet, manga).
ULE!
tfw no battle of 1999
This. I would've loved to see an anime movie trilogy that adapts Symphony of the Night using Ayami Kojima's style with the quality of Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. The Netflix cartoon was a mistake and has made it impossible to talk about Alucard on Zig Forums and Zig Forums without trolling and gayposting.
Lament of Innocence had a manga back in 03, but it was Japan exclusive and mobile only.
I read the novel, Death's Bizarre Adventure was kino
Ayami Kojima designs Alucard with nobility, tragedy, immortality and beauty in mind based on D from Vampire Hunter D and we easterners and anime fans understand the context while westacucks see it as faggy. This will never not make me angry, fuck Warren Ellis and fuck tumblr.
Felt like they could've picked a better edgelord writer for a questionably written CV anime.
Why a fedora who only has one "good" comic about a bald faggot made of meme faces?
Adapt Castlevania Legends into a trilogy. I need my Sonia Belmont waifu.
Warren Ellis was a bizarre choice and ended up being a terrible one given all the fuckery in season 3.
Battle of 1999 is one of those things so hyped up itll be impossible to please the fans. Especially the way Julius gets treated like he's isekai levels of op. Something more grounded like Rondo of blood, Bloodlines or even castlevaina 4 would work better.
Adapt the radio drama, Nocturne of Recollection. I want to see autistic, socially and emotionally inept Alucard deal with Maria's advances.
What about Portrait of Ruin?
Fuck this shit, we already got enough mundane shit about Alucard.
I want to see the badass, tragic Alucard; this tumblr-tier OMG he's just like me! bullshit can take a hike.
So Symphony of the Night movie trilogy?
>Battle of 1999 is one of those things so hyped up itll be impossible to please the fans.
Adapting it as an anime or manga would be better since you'd have way more freedom to show the scale of the demon castle war and show Dracula's (Forma Finále) power
We need smut manga about Dracula and his wife. Or Alucard with Maria and so on.
I think a female mangaka would be up to the task.
Also, Shanoa.
Adapt Simon's Quest.
The tale of the rugged, weary wanderer who travels the land with a mysterious purpose, cleansing towns and ruins from evil along the way, only one question on his lips for any who will talk to him:
>"What do you know of Dracula's relics?"
A manga about Alucard and Maria would be great, double down on their relationship to wash the disgusting taste Netflixvania left.
That works, the first two episodes have to roughly adapt the first game though for context.
That works, show Simon at his absolute peak, eager and confident with the skills to match, and then cut to seven years later when he's at the Belmont cemetery, suffering from the curse and contemplating his fate.
Genya Arikado's daily life as he tries to solve Japan's birthrate problem
Fuck, I really want this now. Should it be blonde Simon or Redhead Simon?
Not really the job for a socially awkward weirdo who probably doesn't know what sex is.
Redhead Simon has more or less disappeared, all recent stuff used blonde Simon.
I liked Kojima's Blonde Simon in Grimoire of Souls, so that works.
Blonde is the "canonical" version, everything except Chronicles and Judgment use Blonde
>original Ayami Kojima aesthetics
You better be Irish, because that's going to take a whole pot of gold to make
Might have to be dumbed down a bit, but as long as the influence is still there.
Who should voice Alucard? Mamoru Miyano or Ryotaru Okiayu?
Miyano sounds too young. Okiayu is perfect.
Miyano was Alucard's voice for Judgement and the Radio Drama, but Okiayu was his original voice and in Harmony of Despair.
