At least there was the decency to make that memory as blurry as possible, but it's still an excuse to avoid making Nariyuki fall in love with Sensei due to one of the multiple events in the main story where they grew closer to each other.
Was it jump forcing Tsutsui to avoid depicting a minor falling in love with an adult after the Axe Age scandal?

I do like the chapter quite a bit, overall. Miharu is fun, as usual, and with Mafuyu's introspective and her jealousy, it seems as if things are finally starting to get going.
Not sure what the last line implies though. It's probably just her general insecurities that keep her from opening up this time as well. Either way, it seems that's what will be explored in the next chapter(s).

The flashback to the "childhood promise", of course, was not at all what the shitposters and doomposters have theorized, and is still kept rather vague, unlikely to matter too much.
And I do hope that when Nariyuki says that it "started" at the school festival split-off point, that doesn't mean we won't be getting any more romantic development in the route itself. Getting Mafuyu to open up should at least provide some of that on-page.
Not gonna lie, whether we see this development or not is probably what will make or break this route for me.

I agree. This seems to be an overarching issue for her and the reason she sought out teaching in the first place. I think coming up with a satisfactory answer to this problem is going to be the key to all of this being enjoyable.
