Vegeta Den

Vegeta Den is an alternative reality where Vegeta is sent to Earth instead of Goku. Vegata is an elite sayain so he walks through
all of Goku's Dragon Ball opponents with ease. He still ends up losing to Goku though. Why haven't we gotten an anime of this yet? It seems like a great idea and it would be a massive success.

Killyourself. Immediately.

Vegeta losing to Goku would make sense in an alternative reality where Vegeta gets sent to Earth. Vegeta is an elite saiyan so by birth he's already massively stronger than any opponent Goku fought on Earth. So that means he wouldn't learn how to deal with advresity like Goku did. Also, Goku being raised on different planets as one of Freeza's goons would make him improve a lot.

It was interesting

Not funny.

>Why haven't we gotten an anime of this yet?
Exactly how many animes exist whose premise is literally "its like this already existing anime, but we twitch two characters and watch the plot play out differently"?
This is like some sorta meta-isekai

Am I the only one interested in this? I mean, it seems like it would be very successful as an anime. Forget about an alternative timeline, I would like to see an anime about vegeta's childhood. They could name it Vegeta jobbing in space.

Give a lazy user some link will you?

Why would he lose to a Goku that had no access to all the spoonfed training from Earthlings and King Kai?

dbfanmanga.com/en/super-vegeta-den/

Vegeta has royal blood meaning he was born with a huge powerlevel. In Vegeta Den who walks through all of Goku's dragon ball opponents with ease. In order to improve as a fighter you need adversity. Goku's strongest opponent in dragonball was picolo and Vegeta by birth had a similar powerlevel to him. Now Goku by contrast was not born elite. Goku would improve dramatically on space like he did on Earth. Actually, he would improve more since he would go through more adversity in space. Vegeta loses in both timelines. Goku is just superior at learning.

Sadly it looks like its abandoned.

Goku even after with all the adversity he got could barely hold his own against Vegeta with Kaioken. So without Kaioken, which he'd have no way of getting if he were on the bad guys' side, he stood no chance.

>Why would he lose to a Goku that had no access to all the spoonfed training from Earthlings and King Kai?
Vegeta never would have met King Kai. Remeber, Goku only met King Kai cause he died. Vegeta wouldn't have died against a low born saiyan like Raditz. So by the time he fights Goku, he won't have kaioken. Nor will he have planet destroying blast like Galick Gun because on Earth he'll never get a chance to safely practice powerful attacks like that.

this. people don't realize how small vegeta's growth was in comparison to goku's. goku would be raditz level at best.

goku's superiority at "learning" has more to do with his personality than a biological aspect. space goku would just be another raditz.

Vegeta would have 0 adversity on Earth. We can both agree to this. So Vegeta won't be half as strong as he was in the normal timeline. And Goku would get an absurd amount of adversity in space if he went Vegeta's route. Despite being a low born saiyan, Goku isn't a normal saiyan. He obviously learns quicker and improves faster than most saiyans and he was the 2nd to go super saiyan, so obviously there's something special about him. Goku beats Vegeta in both timelines cause he's just superior to him.

He doesn't need Kaioken to whoop base Goku's ass.

Funny.

>this. people don't realize how small vegeta's growth was in comparison to goku's. goku would be raditz level at best.
Goku was raised on Earth and fought weaklings for most of Dragonball. Vegeta's powerlevel as a baby was greater than 99.9% of Earthlings. Vegeta's upbringing in space is better for improving. He knew of the existence of Frieza who was several magnitudes stronger than him which gave him goals to achieve. He also was competing against Freiza's goons who all had similar powerlevels to him. Goku would thrive in that environment and would most likely achieve super sayain much faster than he did on his normal earth timeline/route. Goku would also have the great ape form.

>space goku would just be another raditz.
You are implying that Goku is just another low born saiyan. When it is clear from Dragon Ball that Goku is the ultimate over-achiever. He was the first to go super saiyan and beat Vegeta more often than not. If you are making the case that Goku is only where he's at cause of circumstance then I think that's a weak argument.

>He was the first to go super saiyan
Because he had all sorts of training and support spoonfed to him constantly.

That's exactly how it goes in Vegeta Den; i'ts really good.

Do you know where to get it in English past the Vegeta / Goku fight? I never found a translation past the point where they go to space.

It's fan made, forget about an anime, you can barely even find it in English.

The gravity alone on some of the planets Vegeta visited in space were much higher than they were on Earth. So just moving around on a high gravity planet is "spoonfed training". Also, if Vegeta was raised on Earth he wouldn't have been spoonfed training. Why would Gohan raise a monster like Vegeta to fight. Vegeta's power as a baby would scare the shit out of everyone and they most likely would have tried to put him down or contain him. Goku was super human on Earth as a child, and Vegeta is several magnitudes stronger than Goku at that age. Also, they have different personalities. Not everyone would want to befriend vegeta, even if he was raised more polite on earth.

Meant to quote

Well shit. That sucks. Maybe Toei animation will one day recognize that a Vegeta alternative timeline is a gold mine. The script literally writes itself. It would hard to not make it entertaining to be honest.

We already saw an evil Goku from space. His name was Raditz.

Vegeta wouldn’t be sent to Earth because he’s the prince, and if he was he would just kill everyone.

Why was Goku dating a tranny though?

>this. people don't realize how small vegeta's growth was in comparison to goku's. goku would be raditz level at best.
Raditz is actually the perfect argument for why Goku would be much stronger if he was raised in space. We know that Raditz is not Goku. He's pretty normal. Whereas Goku is gifted at learning and overcoming adversity. Yet despite Goku being special, Raditz was much stronger than him when they first met. Swap Goku and Raditz's upbringing and Goku would be exponentially stronger than him. Remember, Goku is the 2nd super saiyan in the history of the universe, so clearly there's something inherently special about him that can't just be attributed to his upbringing.

>We already saw an evil Goku from space. His name was Raditz.
Why do people keep saying Goku would be Raditz if he was raised in space. Like did you guys actually watch Dragon Ball. Goku is clearly a special saiyan, regardless of his upbringing. He may not have royal blood, but he's obviously a gifted. He's like the ultimate over-achiever in any shonen manga.

>space goku would just be another raditz.
nah man, the difference between Goku and the other saiyans is that he has a natural drive to improve himself, and to learn. He loves challenges, while the rest of the saiyans were just super warriors with no good opposition. If anything, I'd expect Goku to be stealing techniques from the planets the saiyan conquer.

the saiyan class system wasn't just made up for no reason. why do you think a baby's power level matters? it's because saiyans don't grow that much. zenkai boosts are nigh irrelevant when the best you can do healingwise is a giant machine, so that wouldn't help either.
working for the frieza force basically means:
>get sent to planets fit for your power level and handle those planets with ease
or
>fight stronger opponents and probably die

there's a reason why raditz is saibamen level. he doesn't have a reason or time to train.

>Vegeta's upbringing in space is better for improving
quite the opposite, actually. you said it yourself: vegeta was overpowered from the start.

>He knew of the existence of Frieza who was several magnitudes stronger than him which gave him goals to achieve
which he would do by wishing for immortality, not by finding time to train while on the job.

>He also was competing against Freiza's goons who all had similar powerlevels to him
he wasn't fighting or training with them, so it's literally irrelevant.

>Goku would thrive in that environment and would most likely achieve super sayain much faster than he did on his normal earth timeline/route
again: goku wasn't born "special". he was a low level saiyan that developed into a great guy through sheer luck of landing on earth and hitting his head. his biology isn't much better than raditz, it's his personality that makes him superior. this is literally in the manga, I don't understand how you could miss the point.

>Goku would also have the great ape form.
so does vegeta

>You are implying that Goku is just another low born saiyan
he literally is.

>When it is clear from Dragon Ball that Goku is the ultimate over-achiever
not because of his biology alone. his developed personality is the most important factor.

1/X

Goku is only special because of his upbringing. He'd be like any other shitter saiyan without it.

>bejita's own spinoff manga
>goku is still the better cooler and steals the spotlight
Bejitabros?

now we're getting into nurture vs nature here and that's a can of worms

>If you are making the case that Goku is only where he's at cause of circumstance then I think that's a weak argument.
I think this is shouldn't even be an argument considering how important it is to the story. I said it a million times already: goku isn't that different from raditz.

>Whereas Goku is gifted at learning and overcoming adversity
he's not. that's the whole point. or rather, he's not because of biology. if raditz was the one to land on earth and become a great guy then him too would have the potential to be great.

>the difference between Goku and the other saiyans is that he has a natural drive to improve himself, and to learn. He loves challenges, while the rest of the saiyans were just super warriors with no good opposition
exactly. and this difference comes from his upbringing, not biology. evil goku would just be another raditz.

>he was a low level saiyan that developed into a great guy through sheer luck of landing on earth and hitting his head. his biology isn't much better than raditz, it's his personality that makes him superior.
This comes down to if you believe in nature vs nurture. It is proven that nurture doens't really matter in determining one's personality. Goku would have turned out superior to his brother Raditz regardless if he was raised on earth or in space. When Vegeta confessed and said Goku was superior to him he mentioned that he thought Goku's power came from loved ones and his desire to protect them, but once he gained loved ones and people to protect it didn't boost his power.
