that's it, that's the end
Think about it structurally. ETH is the settlement layer, LINK/Arbitrum is the computation, execution layer.
So the question is, is there another FUNDAMENTAL tool that is needed that isn't on these two layers.
I would argue that it would be identity. Personalised, decentralised ID that identifies you as a participant in trades, and that allows you to sell your data for profit at will.
While I know there are a number of crypto projects working on this, this isn't a problem I see being solved by a startup. This would need to be a top down project because it would require absolutely watertight credibility to get mass adoption.
I haven't looked into it, but I think Microsoft is working on an ID solution.
It's also worth noting that the next big infrastructural tool may not be tokenised. I don't think ID will be tokenised. Chainlink is insanely special in that it is at the confluence between an absolutely critical piece of baseline infrastructure AND something where tokenisation is needed to function.
TENDIES
YFI.
At first I was skeptical but then I thought about all the time and hassle of approving staged payouts for contracts when I worked in vidya. Must be similar problems in most offices. Sell me some more on pnk?
im trying to spot the next big thing early. I was early on BTC on ETH and on LINK but have been poor each time. This time I have money to throw in and the run hasn't began. I will be able to throw in more when the bull is in effect.

we really don't need anything else for now
>BTC: basically just digital gold
>ETH: main currency of the frontend of the ethereum network (person to person transactions)
>LINK: currency used on the backend of the ethereum network (to fetch data and put it into smart contracts)
What's next is a technology to come and usurp ethereum, however I doubt that will ever happen. We have digital currency, we have distributed code execution, and now we have a way to feed data into that code. What we need now is for industry to start adopting the technology en masse, and get more development effort to solve the scalability issues
Its basically this

Thanks fren, I'll give it a watch!
so just a bunch of randos on the block chain settle disputes between two or more parties? Will people agree to this though?
>identity
The thing that Bitcoin, ETH and Link have is fungability, meaning that you can trade 1 BTC for any other BTC and not care. Each unit of each currency is interchangeable with any other.
The next step could be something non-fungible, where each unit has a unique identity, which could represent a human's ID, ownership in a specific real world asset like a house etc..
Well firstly, they would only allow people with knowledge of a particular issue be eligible for certain "jury duties", and secondly, its best to think of Kleros as a first line of legal action.
If you're certain you've been wronged and want to evoke a Kleros trial, it can shut shit down then and there, rather than drag things out for months while you try to navigate legal systems across borders. It could honestly save companies a LOT of money. Its not the end all be all for disputes though, im sure if you REALLY disagree with the outcome, you could then pursue legal action, but this should be a good system for most disputes.
Plus there are measures in place to punish bad jurors and rewarding jurors that make consistently good calls.
BTC -> ETH -> LINK -> XSN, PNK
someone fix this graph.
XSN 3rd after ETH in terms of importance to crypto.
No one will adopt a slow crypto. Also centralized defeats the purpose of crypto.
XSN
theyre not ordered by importance. Link is literally more important than btc

That's essentially what I mean. But if you're going to transfer real estate on the blockchain using non-fungible representations of assets, then you can't do that until you have a rock solid form of identity to prove ownership. You can't just send a house to an anonymous BTC-like address.
