1. If wisteria flowers can successfully block demons to the point that you can use them to create demon prisons, why don't they just plant it literally everywhere? Demon problem solved.
2. If demons are real in this world and have been around for centuries, why doesn't the whole world know? Why isn't the government involved? The army should be sent in to deal with any demon problems. A few thousand soldiers armed with guns, artillery, and wisteria-based poisons/gases should be enough to take down any of them. The Demon Slayer Corps should be more like special ops for unique, special demon problems.
3. By the Taisho era Japan has had a lot of interactions with other countries. How does no one in the rest of the world not know about demons? Shouldn't they be freaked the fuck out by them and sending in help to eliminate them? Has no demon ever left Japan to avoid the Corps? Seems like moving to London or New York would be an obvious choice to be free.
>1. If wisteria flowers can successfully block demons to the point that you can use them to create demon prisons, why don't they just plant it literally everywhere? Demon problem solved Din't Shinobu had to use a lot to affect uber 2?
Christian Sanchez
>1. If wisteria flowers can successfully block demons to the point that you can use them to create demon prisons, why don't they just plant it literally everywhere? Because: - the amount of trees required is too big - trees require time to grow and can't be planted everywhere >2. If demons are real in this world and have been around for centuries, why doesn't the whole world know? Because there aren't many demons around. Only 3 (+1) people can create them. >3. By the Taisho era Japan has had a lot of interactions with other countries. How does no one in the rest of the world not know about demons? See point number 2.
Have a good day.

yes its only effective against lower ranked demons, nothing stops lower or upper moons from just destroying the flowers
it's why the biggest defense the demon corps uses is secrecy, it's a major plot point that muzan has been searching for the smithing village and the Ubuyashiki estate
but jeremy wouldn't know that because he's an anime only
Jackson Price
>why don't they just plant it literally everywhere Much like how plants normally work, they cant always grow everywhere, and they wont last forever, the only place where this is unique is the mountain where Final Selection takes place, also strong enough demons like Douma can digest the poison. > why doesn't the whole world know Demons are unique to Japan because Muzan likes to remain secretive, and massacres can be attributed to giant bear attacks around the same time in history > How does no one in the rest of the world not know about demons Again, secretive organization, Muzan doesn’t like his followers getting out of line, being allergic to the Sun doesn’t help, and giant bear attacks
>yes its only effective against lower ranked demons, nothing stops lower or upper moons from just destroying the flowers
But that's good enough to protect 99.9999% of the population, who are generally preyed on by the little guys. If every house/town had wisteria everywhere, they'd be safe. If a top-level demon showed up and started wrecking shit, that's when you'd call in the troops.
Adrian Rogers
ah yes, go ahead and try to tell people who don't believe demons exist that they need to cover their homes in this special flower
Camden Reed
>Much like how plants normally work, they cant always grow everywhere, and they wont last forever, the only place where this is unique
But these plants easily protect people from demon attacks. Sure they can't successfully be grown everywhere, but given how effective they are, people should at least try. The DSC should be handing out seeds left and right, let alone the government having programs to make sure they're planted on every square inch that could support them.
Jaxon Russell
But that gets back to the other points. It's been centuries of these rampaging, bloodthirsty monsters actually, really existing. They'd have been seen and widely known by now.
Nathaniel Lopez
>let alone the government having programs to make sure they're planted on every square inch that could support them. and again jeremy is a retarded speed reading faggot
the government doesn't know the demon corps or demons exist, they aren't recognized by the government this was said out loud even in the fucking anime how did you miss that you unemployed italian fuck?
Christian Fisher
>It's been centuries of these rampaging, bloodthirsty monsters actually, really existing. They'd have been seen and widely known by now. maybe the fact that they AREN'T should clue you in that you misunderstood how widespread the damage is
there's a reason it's mostly an urban legend, demons try to keep themselves and their identity a secret
Josiah Nguyen
>> why doesn't the whole world know >Demons are unique to Japan because Muzan likes to remain secretive, and massacres can be attributed to giant bear attacks around the same time in history >> How does no one in the rest of the world not know about demons >Again, secretive organization, Muzan doesn’t like his followers getting out of line, being allergic to the Sun doesn’t help, and giant bear attacks
Yes, all those giant bear attacks in ancient Edo and Kyoto. It just doesn't add up, especially since the lower level demons are shown to be little better than animals, unable to control their bloodlust and violence. Not only would Japan know, word would get back to other countries.
Aiden Wright
1. Wisteria in their flower form can only block weaker demons. Douma, as a top 1% demon, could withstand high doses of extremely concentrated wisteria poisons. >why aren't they planted everywhere? Because trees need decades to grow and make flowers? 2. The demon corps/demons secret fight was an indirect compromise. Muzan preferred to be somewhat low-key because he's a fucking coward and the demon corps preferred to keep it at that: if demons became public knowledge and the authorities moved in mass it would turn in a blood bath of immeasurable proportions. Even the weakest demon is stronger than a fully armed soldier simply because it's hard to kill and Muzan can turn however many people he wants into equally strong demons. Push come to shove Muzan could have turned entire cities into demons in a single night. 3. First of all the Muzan's origins come from Chinese medicine. Second Muzan has a strong grasp on his demons and he's extremely paranoid about being found so they all have to keep a low profile. Stronger demons are given more leeway but they are exceptions. Also, we don't really know if no demon actually escaped Japan, we only know they are generally considered folklore.
Adrian Wilson
KnY is even dubbed in italian. Jeremy is a speedwatcher
Brody Collins
...are you this retarded? The point is the government WOULD know. Everyone would. It makes no sense that they don't.
Thomas Turner
>Not only would Japan know, word would get back to other countries. >what was japanese isolationism dumbass
Nicholas Perez
Yeah, nichirin being the only viable weapon makes secrecy a must. If nichirin mines and the smiths who can work it are destroyed say goodbye to all demon slayers.
Easton James
>there's a reason it's mostly an urban legend, demons try to keep themselves and their identity a secret
Muzan does. The lower level ones can barely go five seconds without frenized murder for blood. He can't keep a lid on all of them all the time for centuries, people are going to see weird mutant people slaughtering and eating other people.
Justin Morgan
>he missed the fact that all the demons hide >an entire flower district was run by an upper moon and no one knew
Bentley Bell
>The lower level ones can barely go five seconds without frenized murder for blood The only lower moon we saw was rui and he was literally hiding in a mountain forest. Get a job jeremy
Benjamin Hernandez
>>what was japanese isolationism
...that ended in 1868 in the Meiji era. This is the later Taisho era, long after Japan had opened again. Try again after learning some history. If this WERE pre-Meiji it would make more sense.
Elijah Johnson
The newly turned ones are feral yeah. The ones who turn people into demons are Muzan and the upper moons. No demon is turned without supervision.
Sebastian Robinson
why does this series make so many people seethe
Parker Bell
It’s doing “too good”
Kevin Ramirez
it's just jeremy he got btfo in the other thread and people called him out on being unemployed so he made this one exactly, it's really obvious that they are hiding
Lincoln Morales
Because it's successful? To be exact it's much more successful than its peers.
Lincoln Clark
It's a good shonen that got really successful. But it's mostly one italian retard throwing a fit
Alexander Morales
