The problem of the modern fantasy is Japan is that it's much easier to sell I WAS KICKED OUT OF THE HERO'S PARTY AND OPENED MY SHOP LIVING SLOW LIVE than just a story about fantasy shop(unless you're atelier, but that's an established franchise).

It's mostly slice of life, felt like the novel plot ended pretty fast but still continue for more SOL.
As said previously by another user , even the hero little sister said fuck the demon lord, i'll go back to my brother.
The romance will also be concluded within the anime, main girl sent so much signals that MC accepted it pretty fast.

Also, yeah, I don't know what people are saying. It clearly does become Isekai self insert fantasy later on where everyone loves him and he's the most useful person ever BUT that's just typical anime main character.
