Rebuild World manga

So what does Zig Forums think of this manga adaptation of the LN series?

>Edgy, Teen Mad-max Protag
> Big Tiddy A.I. mentor
>Lots of BIG TIDDY ONEESANS
>Coomer as fuck
> Labelled as "Shota" even though MC is a teen kek

Kill yourself, Zig Forumsedditor.

Yeah, why don't u convince me otherwise, bitch?

Cringe OP I shilled this series better than you when it first game out.
That said I liked the manga and started reading the WN I stopped somewhere around chapter 90 I think. There’s an EN tl too.

The action/fighting and the world are good in fact the action is very very good, while characters are ok. I feel this will get an anime in the near future as it is very adaptable and the anime adaption would only grow its popularity since it focuses so much on fighting and the action bits.

It's actually pretty good.

Tan android with NANOMACHINES chest is best girl, followed by the shop girl.
Holo e-girl is sus as fuck though.

Oh seems tl reached ‘the good the bad the ugly and the stupid’ mini arc.
This one is such a funny little side adventure.

I want more sheryl

Sheryl would have made a WAY more interesting MC.

>survivng via smarts
>no OP powers
>no cheats
>no harem

She would’ve been killed liked 100 times over without Akira. She won’t survive without him.
>no haram
Big minus, girls are pretty damn nice here they’re all manipulative bitches though.

Almost all*
minus Shizuka I guess

akira is still in the story but the focus is not on him.

Even without akira, the story could have been about her manipulating siber, etc to secure a future that doesnt involve her being a sex slave.

That’s not a bad spin-off or alternate IF idea. Then again it wouldn’t be that action adventure oriented which is the bread and butter of this series especially later on nor would it have a shota being surrounded by hot onee-sans.

You could go for otome narou isekai for that, there are bound to be manipulative female MCs who are actually villainesses from how many titles there are.

i have yet to see a single shoujo/josei manga where a female MC is sheryl's position. its always some "duke's daughter" that gets pampered by flawless men. If the girl is manipulative, its portrayed as "everything she does succeeds flawlessly with zero effort" instead of 'via clever plans and struggling".

I see, I don’t dabble much in Josei yet I thought there would definitely be something of the sort out there. A nariagari type of story but from the female perspective or something.

The art is god-tier, the world building is kinda meh because the sci-fi stuff like nanobot pills are practically the same as magic and the mutated monsters are practically on the fantasy realm, just with machine guns and shit attached.
The manga in particular skims over some of the characterization (which is already sorta lacking in the novel) so the characters feel a bit cardboard-ish.
Overall it becomes rather repetitive, following the formula: >go on supposedly easy mission >shit happens >Alpha's superb support saves the day > get money to buy equipment > train (which doesn't really add much because the stakes are always rather high and Akira still has to depend on Alpha to not get annihilated) > go on another mission.
It would be pretty neat to have more solid World-building, some mysteries to unravel and character development, but as far as i have read it doesn't look like it's gonna happen anytime soon

>which doesn't really add much because the stakes are always rather high and Akira still has to depend on Alpha to not get annihilated
Not necessarily you see the time compression thing actually saves his ass when he gets hit by the stun grenade and alpha can’t support him properly. Also Alpha’s support will only get stronger the stronger weapons his has. It was the same with the enhanced suit without which honestly he wouldn’t do shit against the 3 cyborgs he fought against, again the better his own skills and equipment become the better alphas support becomes and it becomes more and more evident the more story advances.

But yea shits really dragged out supposedly you can’t survive the frontier without owning a tank and there are monarchies in the west as well as “magic” and other supernatural activities but shits just so cluttered with “filler” arcs I kinda stopped midway.

It was good before the harem just kept getting ridiculous. It should have been alpha + sheryl at most, it just kept getting ridiculous when he keeps bumping into 10/10 hot girls who all fall madly in love with him after talking to him a few times, and the way he conveniently bumps into them gets more and more unnatural.

I was actually surprised that the weapons merchant guys werent more hot girls and were normal guys.

Way too much emphasis placed on the girls and its obvious that the author is dragging the story out as long as possible. Its probably another series that isnt going to end before the author dies or has to cancel it due to "personal reasons'. There is no clear direction and no sign that the MC is getting closer to his goal or revealing the mystery of what the destination is supposed to be.

I like the cute brown tomboy.

>it just kept getting ridiculous when he keeps bumping into 10/10 hot girls who all fall madly in love with him
Really? Up to where i read he had Alpha, Sheryl, the brown hunter with adjustable tiddies and maybe the weapon shop's owner interested in him, how many more are there?

>There is no clear direction and no sign that the MC is getting closer to his goal or revealing the mystery of what the destination is supposed to be.
That’s my main issue with it. Like I have no problem with long titles in fact I prefer them to have more chapters but when you notice the author is blatantly dragging it out you kinda lose motivation.
There’s Reina(ojousama), Shiori the soldier combat maid etc though I don’t know if there are many developments with them either.

Dont recall their names, they are in the LN/WN further along than the manga.

I dislike how the weapon shop owner and the two hunter girls got added to the harem in the first place. Sheryl's addition to the cast was actually natural and formed an important plot point as it involved dealing with other gangs in the slums.

The weapon shop owner was so unnatural because she pretty much fell in love with him instantly even though all he did buy was some stuff from her. She also serves no real purpose in the plot, just eye candy whenever he goes to buy stuff.

The two hunter girls have a similar problem, they should have been used to illustrate how dangerous the ruins were, instead akira just killed some guys and then they "conveniently" showed up to save akira in the future. And they "conveniently" know the same weapon shop owner. I think it would have been better if the girls had died or been written out of the story after helping Akira, it would have been a great character development moment if akira had to question whether he was responsible for their deaths because they wanted to pay him back. Show that the setting is dangerous instead of the MC coasting through life with his OP support AI.

>it would have been a great character development moment if akira had to question whether he was responsible for their deaths
Akchually it seems like he really didn’t care at that time. As Alpha analyzed Akira basically sees people this way: allies, enemies, non enemies. He doesn’t particularly care what happens to non enemies and enemies and is pretty neutral about it or rather just outright doesn’t care which is why he will never ever question the killings. He cares about allies as he is somewhat emotionally attached to them which is why Alpha was planning to kill Sheryl if Akira answered in a way that meant that Sheryl went from non-enemy grouping to an ally grouping in his consciousness.

But yea agree with the coincidences, some sloppy lazy developments there.

She deserves at least one spin off.

>which is why he will never ever question the killings
Also just to add to this, this is also the main reason Alpha chose Akira as her past partner while being this badass really strong hunter who made it to the final area appeared to be a moralfag and thus failed Alpha’s request. Alpha seems to be trying to limit with who Akira has emotional attachments to.

Anyhow I will probably binge rebuild world if ever actually concludes it’s not a bad series just dragged out as hell.

Shizuka is actually one of the more important characters as far as Akira’s character is concerned. She’s the normal, kindhearted person that serves as Akira’s moral beacon without being too much of a moralfag, though you can question how unrealistic it is to have such a nice, straightforward person run a weapons shop in the slums.

Elena and Sara kind of reek of girl of the week though, I agree.

How was the weapon shop owner unnatural? She doesn’t even seem particularly in love with him, he just tickled her maternal instinct.

The stun grenade moment was the dumbest thing in the entire series. How the hell was Alpha not able to prevent Akira from getting hit by it? AKIRA himself saw it drop moments before it went off, Alpha literally could’ve just jerked his head to the side to save most of his vision.

Coomer adds a relatable motivation

At least the author stopped introducing new girls after the literal prostitute.

The newest character in the WN feels like he was initially written as a heroine even before the author decided to retool him into a dude.

Spoil me on the Alpha, what's her actual plan after killing 498 hunters? why does she act like a jealous slut?
What happens to nano breasts girl aka best girl?

I think you’re thinking about a different episode user I’m talking about the one with Gyuuba. He activated the stun grenade via remote control and Alpha couldn’t see anything because the grenade was actually stuck on Zebra lol of course Zebra didn’t know he that Gyuuba snuck in a stun grenade when he gave him some gear. It was almost the perfect ambush.
