With Kodachi getting fired for being a dick and Kishimoto coming back at the helm do you have any expectations for Boruto now? Right now Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto are fighting a super OP alien and everything points out at Naruto dying. Where could the story possibly go from here? Kishi comes back for Chapter 52 starting this week and the Anime is getting ready to jump to Manga canon with machine gun Ninja.

I'm optimistic. Naruto was overall a good shonen and even if Samurai 8 was complete garbage, I believe some of the ideas Kishi had for it could work in Boruto or at the very least make it more interesting to read. One of the things im hoping he does is using the side cast more especially Mitsuki and Sarada because so far everyone but Boruto and Kawaki has been completely forgotten by Kodachi.

Well, in 51 chapters Sarada only good moment was commanding Team 7. Also Delta got BTFO by Naruto. At the very least im hoping Kishi gives more relevance to Sarada who has been forgotten

We're essentially in the endgame territory and I don't think a single side character got a fight so it's too late to showcase them.
Plot points just 'happen' and feel inconsequential and implemented for cheap attempts at 'oh shit' moments. Remember that dude who was a Jiriya clone because reasons?
Bort started off way too strong, has too many gimmicks and zero character arc or a discernible trajectory the reader can expect. This dude has a special unique Dojutsu that has zero relevance to the plot or has been utilized in any meaningful way. His pathos isn't half as appealing as Naruto either. A genius brat who doesn't get enough attention from his extremely busy Dad but learns to accept it, isn't as compelling as a moron brat who's reviled by everyone but claws bit by bit their recognition and respect.
There's other things too but I can't even think of them now because the series is like a big, long indistinctive streak of shit with no beginning or end. The only good thing is Sadara, a few other side characters and seeing the old cast

Yeah that's my main problem. At this point, it feels like Kodachi was just completely relying on the Anime to properly expand the world and characters. The Manga is just there for those who want to know what to expect from the Anime
