Praise an anime you hate

ITT say something you genuinely enjoyed about an anime you otherwise thought was garbage.

I thought FMA 2003's final dialogue between Ed and Hohenheim was an interesting conclusion for both characters, and numbed the pain of how terrible I found the finale to be otherwise.

I thought the teacher pedo episode of Bokurano was both gripping and simultaneously hard to watch because of the fact you know what's coming before the episode even begins, creating this sense of dread in the seemingly normal interactions of the characters leading up to the pedo shit

here before the thread turn into yet another fmab vs fma 2003

Why would I watch an anime I hate?

Shaft did an amazing job regarding visuals (and sound) in the monogatari series

You might end up liking it?

Loosely based on a manga from a legendary creator, Gilgamesh delights the viewer with plot threads which go entirely forgotten, comically terrible animation, and as a work written by one of the geniuses responsible for Evangelion, it is naturally extremely deep.

Because that's how you avoid living in a bubble. It is critical you expose yourself and step out of your comfort zone for you to grow as an individual and form your own opinions. How do you know you hate the anime if you've never watched it?

Darling in the FranXX did great before the Aliens became the Antagonists. I still hate what became of it.

The odds are far better by watching anime I don't hate.
I watch some of almost everything new every season and form opinions based on that. I don't feel a need to finish shows I don't like to prove to myself that I don't like them.

I didn’t like Re:Zero but found Petelgeuse entertaining
Props to the VA

I didn't say you needed to finish them. From your first post though, it seemed like you just stamp off Animes as bad and never even engage with them. Dropping something is valid.

Good art, fights pre-dumbfuckingsuperpowers were good. But god the story was aids in every concievable way

Darling in the Franxx had amazing animation and a solid art style.
Enju and Tina are my daughterfus.
I empathized with all of the human characters in Magical Girl Spec Ops.
Tetsuo Takahashi is a good man.
Yuuta and Rikka are the perfect couple and they deserve to be in a happy relationship.
Upotte had this scene where Funco took off her socks and it made me jizz my pants.

I know this has nothing to do with the thread, but I really didn't feel like making a thread just for a simple question.
For reasons I forgot, I have two anime in my "dropped" list on MAL. I have never watched either of them; in fact, this is the first time I've heard of them. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with them?
>Wise Man's Grandchild
>Knight's & Magic

I never watch or finish watching something I thought it was garbage so I don't see the point of this thread.

Elfen Lied had a nice intro

this song that played in the final fight between All Might and the weird dark guy is really good

>My magical sixth sense has always warned me in the nick of time not to look at a television screen if something I wouldn't enjoy was on it

Naruto really broadened my horizons on how bad a manga can be, it really brought the concept of a low bar to whole other level
i will never underappreciate any other manga ever again, for no matter how shit it may be, it will never be as bad as Naruto

man I loved Elfen Lied. I was like 15 when I watched it and the scene where the little girl's limbs get torn off made me cry and gave me fucking nightmares, A+

Bleach

Imagine valuing your time so little you're willing to finish a piece of media you disliked or outright despised.

Sometimes the shit you despised gets slammed on you close to the finish line. Sometimes there's enough good points that you keep watching for a while because it seems like it's getting better, until you realize it won't and you stop. There's plenty of reasons, you're just so autistic that for some reason you thought it'd be a good idea to come and gloat that you've somehow dodged every single piece of media that could ever have had a negative quality in your eyes.

Doubt had nice art and was able to pull in the readers so you always want to know what happens next. By the way, I like your optimism and the idea of seeing the possitive things in what we thinks is bad, keep it up OP

They do genuinely try to incorporate science into some of the powers sometimes. I hate it because most of the time they don't.

The broccoli "mushroom cloud" in Mob Psycho 2 was a great brick joke for Reigen paying him with a bag of broccoli seeds.
I really didn't care for the "Claw is actually not a joke" battle manga episodes though.

The bunny was cute.

I thought Nia and Yoko were cute, and I liked the art style

As if I knew anything about the things I hate

Some of the music was good and the girls are cute I guess.

IT has good animations and good character designs despite having same face
You won't know you hate an anime until you watch it?
