Obito was also an idiot who had good intentions. The problem is that Sakura, as she does over the course of the manga, thinks that she knows what's best for Naruto better than he does. She tries to sabotage their team to protect him during the chuunin written exam for the same reason: she doesn't think Naruto can do it and doesn't want him to be locked out of being a chuunin.

Not really? She's pretty basic. Her entire arc revolves around Sasuke but she doesn't do a damn thing to actually impact him in any meaningful way. Her backstory has such little pathos it feels wrong to use that word. And her growth is restricted mainly to her superpowers, which isn't a substitute for actual character development. Plus her personality is dime-a-dozen bitchy/aggressive girl who simps for the bad boy.
