how did you end up in this rabbit hole?
for me it's pic related.
How did you end up in this rabbit hole?
Watched the Cardcaptor Sakura 4kids dub on television, and then rewatched the other versions as a teenager and I was hooked. Though, the nostalgia still makes me enjoy the nuance of that censored version. The ending where Syaoran just leaves forever and Sakura gets the Hope card was fucking based.
Rurouni kenshin blew my mind when I was a kid.
Jump Ultimate Stars on the NDS
Like damn, I thought that the stretchy straw hat fellow was pretty cringe but it still made me curious enough to read that one piece shit. It did not disappoint
hard to say, really. i watched a few series as a kid, which were mainly mecha and shojo stuff.
i'd say i got into it more seriously around 2010s, i vaguely remember watching inuyasha and dog days.
My first anime, I got into anime in my late teens and heard good things about this, so decided to watch it, liked it so here I am
Used to watch Samurai Deeper Kyo on STARZ-Encore WAM back in the day. Never looked back since.
i watched it much later
i drifted through mainstream shounens first then went deeper
For me it was the opposite, I started in the deep end watching weird "obscure" shit and slowly drifted into mainstream shounen
Actually started fma this year, watched both series this year
reading horrifically bad scans on Onemanga
same thing here, though my first was this forgotten seasonal
yeah lmoa some of the old jojo scans were horrible
This one.
Welcome to the NHK and the Holyland manga
At first it was the pure Kid shows on TV. Medabots, pokemon, kuro-chan, beyblade, then things like kinnikuman, naruto, kenshin, inuyasha, bleach and then it began to grow more serious ranma 1/2, tokyo mew mew, musumet, sakura card captor, nadesico, vandread. After that I saw a lot of generic 2000s and 2010 anime, like shining tears, s-cry-ed and lots of those super generic harems like maburaho, then I got into manga and from there I slowly began to read LN translations, and now I am sure I have read at least %50 of non shoujo, yaoi, yuri manga out there and seen most generic anime. But now I am ill my mind cannot recognize real people as appealing and I read per day like 70-80 chapters, I still enjoy it but I have become sick, I can no longer see most of 3d content as something not disgusting most of the time.
NHK as your first few anime must've been weird
1st episode of Kare Kano from an anime club hin high school
Oh, it wasn't my first anime, but it was the first one I really got into. Before that I watched a few that were half-decent, but didn't really like them. Someone suggested NHK and I was hooked.
you had anime clubs in school?
damn
I watched some anime on TV when I was a kid and later got interested in animation and then it all went on a downward spiral
If you're talking about how I got into Zig Forums, my then-girlfriend introduced me to torrent threads on Zig Forums and Zig Forums in 2007-08. If you're talking about how I got into anime ... it was one night in 1995 and I saw my first love on screen: Kobayakawa Miyuki.
it was my second
this show really showed me how good anime can be. I had a hard time after watching first episode. that titan who eats his mom was some heavy shit for me back then
Violet Evergarden really got me into anime recently
My first were romcom and ecchi trash like DxD, monster musume etc...
yesssssss i got my friends into anime because of this
neve seen those because of seriously high amount of fan service. might watch someday
I never liked anime, the only times I come here is to mock people even more pathetic than me.
Kek, I only watched a few anime and read a couple of manga but I only come here for those threads that's about fma and hxh
There weren't any action girls on the television back then. Really gave me a clear distinction of the differences between an anime from a cartoon. Local tv stations aired massive amounts of anime at a decent timeslot for kids back then.
