This show would be way better and less hackish if they had actually forced Deku to obtain his dream through his ingenuity and willpower. Instead he just literally becomes a demigod basically with simple exercise and the goodwill of All Might
Why did they give him a quirk?
Hori isn't a good enough writer to write him with a quirk and you want him to write quirkless Deku?
I mean at least then you'd have an interesting premise instead of him getting what he wants right away
didn't we have this exact thread yesterday?
And yea agree the story would have been much more enticing and interesting if he never got a quirk.
Speaking of characters with no powers set in an enviroment full of super power users....
Literally who
You can't do shit against quirk users while being quirkless. Even Stain could kick (quirkless) Deku's ass, and he was just a guy with a sword. No quirk and Deku and his dream is dead.
They wouldn't be able to play catch-the-Kacchan if Deku was quirkless.
>You can't do shit against quirk users while being quirkless. Even Stain could kick (quirkless) Deku's ass, and he was just a guy with a sword. No quirk and Deku and his dream is dead.
Someone hasn't watched Batman or Robin. Or Red Hood. Or Punisher.
He gets more quirks???
Boy does he.
Why does he need more quirks tho
Talentless Nana
Gay as fuck go away
Quirks aren't invulnerability to normal weapons. If I had an axe and smashed Present Mic over the head hed be as dead as anyone else.
How she is talentless but the show can pit her against superpowered people?
Explain
Why doesn't everybody just use guns then
I like one for all.
I mean its Japan. But yes I have to ask that too. Why dont villains just use actual weapons? Unless you have a defense quirk you are gonna get fucked up by anything normal.
Because Hori is imitating MarvelDC America, not real life America.
>You can't do shit against quirk users while being quirkless
DC and Marvel manage to have superheroes without powers. Batman obviously being the most famous example. Deku going from 0 to Superman isn't interesting because you're just waiting for him to pull another 5% All for One out of his ass to beat the latest bad guy .
>Batman or Robin.
The plot armored king of asspulls and his protegee who he treats like crap ?
I think you completely missed the point. Obviously if you fight someone like All Might you are fucked. But with enough training, prep and the right gear there isn't any reason a protagonist wouldnt be able to beat a low level hero or villain. Again you have to remember most quirks are not hyper weapons. Its shit like stretching your arms or shape shifting.
It doesn't make sense in Marvel either.
Because he's really boring.
But how does this even work. He literally already has a quirk. Did he steal All for One?
Well they've been running for like 70 years so something must make enough sense about it to be worth mimicking.
Yeh the money lol
Altho I mean the Japanese heroes at least have so many fucking stupid rules regulating their bullshit it wouldnt surprise me if the Villains just went full ham and btfo them because they werent allowed to fight back properly
>But with enough training, prep and the right gear there isn't any reason a protagonist wouldnt be able to beat a low level hero or villain.
The problem is that the example you used uses "prep time"* to asspull his way to victory
*And he do it in the asspulliest way possible "With this never mentioned before macguffin that I had with me the entire time, I can anticlimactically defeat this foe that I didn't knew existed until now!!!"
No. One for All is the quirk with only the power to pass on your quirk(s). After someone receives and hands it forward, that obviously includes passing on theirs as well, not just the power to pass itself on with no purpose. So he has all the previous generations abilities.
user if you are fighting Bubblegirl literally all you need is a taser or a gun
I don't care half as much that he got a quirk as I do that it's so fucking overpowered. Just throwing bullshit power ups at the little faggot
So is the manga. Cope.
It would just turn into batman yuyu hakusho at that point. Gadget of the week for each new bad guy and then never seen again.
>Well they've been running for like 70 years so something must make enough sense about it to be worth mimicking
Not sure , apparently they only got big because they sabotaged the concurrence with the comic code and they are basically corpses for the last 3 decades
They do use guns and other heavy weaponry in Marvel. Iron Man is firing rockets all over the fucking place
>to asspull his way to victory
Yeah because MHA isn't asspulling all the time "Oh shit 20% isn't working better push to 25%!" also SEVEN(7) QUIRKS
You dont seem to understand that their is a dramatic gap in how powerful quirks are. Your average fighter with a quirk would be totally overwhelmed by a trained squad of soldiers.
Only good things about this show is the Sakuga and the waifus
It has ok waifus not great.
>"Oh shit 20% isn't working better push to 25%!"
That is not like, literally the premise of the show? He leveling up his power?
So "OH MY SUPER POWERFUL PUNCH/ 7 QUIRKS", turns into "OH MY ASSPULL GADGET THAT COUNTERS VILLIAN OF THE WEEK"?
