>I groomed the villainess to be my ideal wife but it's totally okay because I'm half-heartedly pushing her to marry the prince while she loudly proclaims how much she loves me?!
Why do male authors keep defiling the otome isekai genre like this, Zig Forums?
I groomed the villainess to be my ideal wife but it's totally okay because I'm half-heartedly pushing her to marry the...
Well what do you suggest him do then? Sit back and do nothing and watch her turn into a spoiled brat that dooms them both?
>otome isekai
There’s nothing otome about this, it’s just regular isekai.
>reincarnates into a literal otome game
>not otome isekai
It's more otome than shit like Tearmoon Empire that people also call otome.
>groom villainess so that they don't die in the future
>villainess secretly groom butler to be a noble so she can legally fuck him in the future
Win win
Bang the heroine
The villlainess truly set him up at points there. She learned too well.
Is Kumo otome?
Women aren't characters to men, just tools to look at. Meanwhile women write both men and women as actual characters.
Does he date her or will he just keep pushing her into the nobles he encounters?
>women write both men and women as actual characters
Maybe in serious literature but when it comes to manga/games/anime men written by women tend to be just as much cardboard cut-out wish-fulfillment garbage as any harem girl written by a man
>Women aren't characters to japanese isekai light novel authors, just tools to look at
fixed
When I tried to read battle manga written by women, the girls tended to be next to useless and had to be rescued by taller stronger men repeatedly. Most of the time getting carried in their arms while blushing. Or the men had to arrive to reassure them they did well and fulfilled their duties and should be proud of themselves.
This is unironically true, female isekai authors shit on other female characters that aren’t their self insert even harder than male authors do
You mean villainess isekais?
The Sophia noble school arc where she goes full horny slut mode if we're stretching it.
>otome villainess isekai
defend this genre
> The woman actually looked pretty, but Roland did not appreciate her freckles, although many might found freckles adorable.
Not my nigga anymore.
I don't. It's on the same level of those isekai that the protag is kicked from the hero's party because reasons and then the party falls to pieces right after because he was crucial to it. Girl gets summoned or revived, automatically becomes the villainess and bullied/feared by default.
At the very least it’s better than the Strongest Cheat Skill Slave Harem Slow Life genre
This would be infinitely better if it was about the heroine doing the exact same thing instead.
>women write women as self insert onahole and men as dildos to fuck the women
Ftfy
He keeps trying to push her onto the prince route because it’s what’s “best” for her but she’s pretty much put her foot down that she’s never going to fuck the prince and is busy scheming to get him uplifted into a noble so he can stop refusing her advances.
Most isekai's are shitty wish fufillment and terrible plot devices. Why care if one is 2% shittier than the other one? Its all just the same, no deviation whatsoever
>oh nooooo, i was a complete fucking loser IRL cause i never utilized any resources or any talents to succeed!!!
>nao i'm deaaaaaaaddd
>oh nooo, seems like bullshitty bootleg shinto/buddhist reincarnation made me into a person in another world!!!!11!!111!
>reincarnate is either hella skilled for blatant wish fufillment and self insertion right away, or a loser who bullshits their useless skill to somehow be useful so the people reading can cope with having an absolutely useless hobby
The entire genre is just a shitty backdrop for mangakas who can't into a proper introduction but want to make a fantasy manga. Isekai is the bottom of the barrel redditors manga.
>The entire genre is just a shitty backdrop for mangakas who can't into a proper introduction
>mangakas
>I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about
Any other series like this? I find it hard to get into the otome isekai genre, or isekai in general. But this one was okay.
Try Tearmoon Empire and The Holy Grail of Eris.
Thanks.
Have fun.
Seconding both of those. They're two of the best villainess series out.
Gotta admit I'm having trouble picking up new villainess stuff because of them, like, neither of them is the greatest thing ever written but unlike most other stuff in the genre the writers actually fucking tried and the production values are pretty gucci.
Read JJK. KnY, and FMA.
