I am rewatching this anime
Please pay careful attention to how great Freddy is.
Do you just skip the ending or brace yourself for how bad it was?
The ending needed an extra episode, but it was fine if not just for "I give father funeral"
Chaika?
This. Freddy a fucking great.
Yes. Chaika.
Fucking freddy is great.
Chaika.
Chaika on the front line!
Sex. Chaika. What like?
She is also canonically able to become pregnant from MC's semen.
The best girl all around
Tooru is too damn cute
CHAIKA ON THE FRONT PAGE
this is a hot dragon
She truly is an underrated character in this series. Loved her ever since she joined the MC. Her carefree attitude and antics were a joy to watch.
Why not rewatch the superior version instead?
I am upset that he never fucked his sister.
Freddy spin-off when.
Why did she become loli again? I like here older version better.
The op is actually doing that. Scrapped princess is inferior to Chaika. It has
- worse dragon
- stupid subplot where Pacifica's love interest dies and nobody remembers him
- completely irrelevant MC's sister that does not even want to fuck him
The only thing that is better about it is antagonists. It was really a shame when grown up loli who was a bad guy died. I wanted her to join the good guys instead
last watched it while airing
still worth a rewatch?
- The dragon thing sucked in both versions. I found Zefiris to be less annoying, because the sober demeanor is more conducive to a weapon, but it's best to just not do anthropomorphized weapons at all.
- The subplot was not stupid per se. It was interesting to see her go through that experience, but I admit that it would be nice if they had tied it in thematically a bit more.
- Don't know what your gripe is here. She was not as central to the plot as the brother, but she rounded out the character interactions, and certainly wasn't "completely irrelevant". By him I suppose you mean Shanon? Who cares who she wants to fuck. The show is not about sexual tension.
My main problem with Chaika is that it is written as a meme show. Every creative choice, from the broken language, to Vivi and the twins, to the fact that she hauls around a giant coffin and wields a huge-ass rifle, is geared not towards creating an immersive world with an engaging story that supports your suspension of disbelief, but to create buzz and "hype". Scrapped Princess on the other hand at least attempts to create a cohesive experience. It's not great at it, sure, but by at least trying it gets halfway there.
>I am upset that he never fucked his sister.
I want to see lewds of him
>. She was not as central to the plot as the brother
And that is a huge problem. She is one of 4 main characters but she feels like an extra. At least in Chaika the author tried to make Akari more relevant
>Who cares who she wants to fuck.

> My main problem with Chaika is that it is written as a meme show.
Say what you want (you are actually wrong and there is nothing inherently memetic about its writing) but people still remember the show. On the other hand nobody would remember SP if not for Chaika
I'm not denying that Chaika is more successful (though the comparison isn't entirely fair because SP is more than a decade older than Chaika). That ties into my argument, though. The thing about those writing quirks is that they work, they generate discussion and, at times, controversy, which helps the show spread and stay relevant. But it doesn't make the show any better, quite the opposite.
In fact, if I may digress a bit, that disparity is a big part of the reason why the world is so shit these days. The posts, articles or videos that get shared the most aren't the best researched or well written ones. It's the most inflammatory and lurid ones.
CHAIKA ON THE FRONT PAGE
The anime success of Chaika vs Scrapped Princess is an absolute scandal.
Good reminder of how much randomness there is in finding success
Somebody needs to call the damn Based Patrol to come and get OP
Chaika. Front page!
Walking around as a famous hero would probably cause attention, or at least difficult emotions for Fred. Walking around as her sister isn't so bad.
Also Tooru isn't gay so he prefers loli Fred.
The ending is a mess but that joke at least delivers.
