When these threads started becoming a thing about 2.5 years ago the YT premieres were typically the first way to watch the episode. They typically came out before CR. So we've kept that tradition going and it's more fun to react in live time.

The executive producers or whoever is in charge of alotting episode counts probably thought a show like this is already risky enough for a traditional card game franchise. So they wanted to keep it relatively short. At least it got 2 cours compared to my initial prediction of it being 1.
