I agree. Seems like a lot of the genderbender isekai is there just to give some excuse for having FeMC being into girls since the genderbend is rarely a part of the story, much less mentioned after the first couple chapters. I'd rather just have straight-up yuri.

Most genderbender isekai is unironically tranny wish fulfillment on the part of the author. It can't be straight up yuri because the crux of it is the author inserting themselves into their yuri fantasies.

Mate, the one thing I've read that extensively focused on "Oh god, it sucks to be a woman" basically had a arc about the woman's mental breakdown while she was stuck alone, on a roof, during her period, mostly naked, exposed to rain, and surrounded by zombies that went full bloodhound and followed the smell of her flow, because the setting is a zombie post-apoc shithole with mutated rape monsters alongside regular zombies. It was emotionally draining.
