Why don't more sub groups do this? It enhances the experience.

Over styled subs were always gay as fuck.
Now yellow subs, those were the good shit.
I hate seeing Japanese alphabet in the subs. You want to add the phonetic Japanese that's one thing, but this shit? This is a mess. If I could READ Japanese, I could SPEAK Japanese and if I could SPEAK Japanese I wouldn't need subtitles. Nothing is worse than having the screen cluttered with garbage because some subber wants to show off his Japanese keyboard. The less you have on screen the better. Subs should be immersive. And yellow.
t. watches anime in 240p
It's gaudy whatever the p
They were fairly common in the early 00s. But they went out of vogue for a reason.
Because there are hardly any sub groups anymore. HS and other crunchyroll rippers killed them
Back in the day the japanese releases would include "karaoke" as a "hardsub" on the OP and ED (see the OP image). I guess the fansub practice of deliberately adding japanese may have been a convention from the time when their english subs had to work around the already present japanese. Drama about "WHY DID YOU REMOVE THE JAPANESE!!!!????!!!!" is exactly the sort of retarded shit I can imagine EOP anime communities in the late 90s and early 00s getting up to.
It looks fucking shit. Only thing worse is colouring the subs to the characters, as if I'm too fucking retarded to be able to work out who is speaking.
Please tell me where I can download good quality English subs for Saint Seiya. Are they complete? What group is this?
I already have subs in my native language but I'd like to have English too.

Something called zero-subs, it's in blu-ray quality but all of a sudden the quality of the subtitles take a giant fucking nosedive at episode 82 and they say shit like knight instead of saint.
I will never forgive Viz for their godawful release.
Thanks. I know that many people can't find good subs and complain about the quality. That sucks for English speakers. So I thought thay maybe if I could find good subs I could share for someone in need.
>If I could READ Japanese, I could SPEAK Japanese
Objectively wrong understanding written language ≠ understanding spoken language ≠ speaking a language
>love the blu-ray release with stylised subs
>now can't go back to lower quality
>don't have american kekflix so can't watch it there anyway
>only alternative I have is a netflix torrent that will ALWAYS default to english audio no matter what I do
It's super fucking annoying dude
>>only alternative I have is a netflix torrent that will ALWAYS default to english audio no matter what I do
Wait what? You can't change audio language or does it change by itself?
I can, it just always defaults to English at the start and it'll have this awkward pause at the start to adjust. It's a minor inconvenience but I'd really rather do without it, especially if I can also have blu-ray quality at the same time.
Just search how to delete audio tracks from mkvs user.
What this user said I remember a program called mkvtoolnix where you can adjust default audio language, delete or add subtitles etc. I'm sure there's plenty of other options.
>only alternative I have is a netflix torrent
What's the torrent called, if I may?
For the classic series, not that remake bullshit of course.

It's more a series of torrents if anything but here they are
thanks
I agree with Otaking on this, but this is a half hour rant, not a documentary.
Sadly, we all should be understanding moon by now and reading/watching raw stuff.
>we should learn an entire fucking language to watch something in another language
Asinine, anyone who says this is completely out of their mind.
That's what I did. Anime is much more enjoyable raw and without subs, especially comedies. Many times Zig Forums thinks an anime is bad because they have to read text on a screen and miss out on all the comedic timing and intonation of the actors.
We are on Zig Forums.
We are on Zig Forums.
We are replying to a thread of fansubs.
We consume stuff from Japan for years.
Games, anime, manga, everything.
I don't understand moon, but at this point I should.
We all should.
In my mind, it's almost like telling a fat guy he should lose weight. It's not easy, but it'd be better for him.
Man, I miss TL notes
And how long did that take you just to watch cartoons without subtitles? Did you even watch anything while learning that?
That's a false equivalency and you know it.
Truth be told I didn't start learning the language "just" because I wanted to watch anime, but it was one of the factors. I actually didn't watch much anime before but I made a habit out of it when I decided to learn Japanese, at first with subs, and after approximately two years I ditched the subs.
It's not a short process, it takes patience, so I'm not shitting on people who don't want to bother with it and are content with subs. But they should know they're not getting the full enjoyment from it.
Of course I know.
And you know that's not my point.
You can't face the fact that we're too lazy to learn a new language.
I'm not blaming another person. You are.
We should learn moon at this point and that's a fact.
I'm not completely out of my mind for saying it.
That's fine then. How long did it take though?
Until I could understand anime? I don't know exactly, but I'd say between three or four years. And then some more time until I could understand anime dialogue heavy in jargon. I remember I had to turn the subtitles back on for Youjo Senki because all the military stuff was driving me nuts.
You should learn the language if you consider yourself a fan. If you just wan to enjoy some cartoons now and then go ahead, but you're a filthy casual and don't belong on Zig Forums.
