Should Gon have died after his fight with Pitou?
Hunter x Hunter
If Gon died, a lot of fans would be mad and there'd be a trend of people burning their HxH volumes on social media.
That'd only happen if Togashi killed a tranny.
I don’t know. It’s okay that he was emptied of purpose after such a thing. I’m against him becoming the same person again. He should study and become an anthropologist or something.
He fits as a researcher with his objective and curious mindset.
He achieved all his goals as it is. He will have to create a new persona.
The series should have
Not really. The idea was that Gon had helped so many people that at least one of them was bound to find a way to help him. It was pretty obvious something like that would eventually happen even from chapter 2, when Leorio and Kurapika, who at the time disliked eachother, join forces to help Gon.
Admitedly, Nanika giving Killua free wishes is fucking bullshit, but she is the problem, not Gon surviving.
>everyone says chimera ant is amazing arc
>see its 60 episodes, so it must be good
>everyone constantly talks up Meruem, the show makes him out to be ridiculously strong, fans say he is like Cell from DBZ
>60 episodes come and go
>he barely even fights once, if you can even call it a fight, he was just dodging Netero's blows
>dies from radiation poisoning
>entire point of the arc was "remember the 6 million hibakusha, goyjin"
why do people think this anime is good?
What was the point of bringing Gon & Kite back if they're gonna be written out of the series?
Why shouldn’t Gon be written out? His quest was finished in every sense of the word. He would be relegated to being a side kick at best.
Having him acquire a full set of human skills is more mature and better for the series
Yeah, it should stop living rent free in your head.
His original quest was achieved but that doesn't mean his story is over & he should be irrelevant.
He can have new goals. Beating the chimera ants wasn't part of his original plan but he participated in that too.
Someone needs to teach Gon how to treat a lady. What he did to Pitou was unacceptable.
>create a new persona
Why should he fake a personality?
Yes to bad togashi a coward.
action should have consequences.
>implying that Gon didn't die
Which Troupe member would you like to see Chrollo borrow abilities from next?
Source?
No but neither should Pitou either. If HxH had more of her than we wouln't have so many breaks.
Nobunaga
No, but the way he was brought back was really bad.
Colt chimera ant
What's your favorite shonen series? Many people who say this like series that have less consequences than HxH.
Still haven't seen anyone give a better idea of how it should've been done.
No but never using nen again was a nice trade off
A story should never be restricted by the protagonist. One of the things i like about HxH is that gon isn't the centre of the universe.
To be fair, while Gon vs Pito was kino, Togashi wrote himself into a corner.
Nigger please, wasn't it stated that he wasn't actually die it's just the treatment would take a year or two? Then he could've just waited and tell the other arcs while he's healing, instead of pulling some wish granting tranny out of his ass.
Maybe he shouldve met the king afterwards and died with him/to him, wouldve been much better since he was the main antagonist and confronting the friendly gon who lost his mind and the evil abomination who turns human
as a hunter, he's dead
he's never getting back his nen
>b-but he just needs to retrai-
"no!"
>he thinks Gon won't get his nen back
He doesn't need to come back. Kurapika and ging are charismatic enough to carry the series on their own
>Maybe he shouldve met the king afterwards and died with him/to him
That would have made it generic shounenshit. I'm glad gon never met the king
He should have died during his fight. Everyone else was soiling their pants just from witnessing her aura from a mile away. Not Gon though. He completely loses control over the death of a person he barely knew and pulls out bs strength out of nowhere (yeah he just improvised some Nen ability while losing his mind). Afterwards he calmly suggest to go outside because he doesn't want to damage the house.
This is shit even by shounen standards.
Hello speedreader
Reminder that Togashi is a lazy nigger and he's actually just pretending to be a japanese.
This is probably the lowest IQ post I've ever read on this shithole.
enlighten me
Neferpitou was a monster. Gon versus Pitou was based.
Very weird way of saying "im mentally disabled"
No, the whole ant saga made sense because the villan became the hero by dying in a lover's suicide, while the hero became the villain for acting lone cowboy and talking shit about his friends.
The whole thing is a deconstruction of the Cell saga, where humanity killed the evil inside the evil and the Z group gets painted as assholes for the tournament fuckery.
