I have 10k dollars right now and am about to purchase an MN. Before I start my journey I have a question for some of the smarter investors on Zig Forums.
I plan to buy bitcoin on jewbase and transfer it all to my livecoin wallet. Then I will swap btc/xsn on livecoin and move the xsn into the xsn core wallet. Now from what I understand my investment has been pretty safe up to here. Here is where things get sketchy for me and where I start getting paranoid. I want to get the MN through MNaaS but in order to do so it seems I have to stake the xsn from my core wallet to the cloud. How safe is this? Once I get the MN am I safe? Is there any better way to do this? What to do after getting MN?

You have it all figured out. Do as you said with the coinbase to livecoin thing and you’ll be fine.
As far as MNaaS, you send the XSN to yourself in your core wallet. In other words, it stays in your wallet the whole time. You send at least 150 XSN to your cloud account on cloud.stakenet.io.
There’s nothing to worry about even if the cloud got hacked you’d only lose 150 XSN or whatever you had in there. Your masternode will always be preserved once secured in your core wallet.

When your use their masternode service your funds stay in your wallet and are safe. The only thing that might be at risk are the 150 xsn you need to keep on the cloud to pay for the masternode.

Ok that makes much more sense. I was under the impression for a small chunk of time 15500 would be on the cloud but this clears it up. Once I have the MN all my xsn is still in the core wallet?

The only reason I have 10k is because I sold my link. Ive been doing a lot of research and I have a lot of faith in xsn. I think link will do well as well but I dont want to miss my last chance to get a MN.

Yea the first step of the masternode service is sending it to yourself. When you watch the tutorial video it will make more sense. The masternode will be fully operational with all 15k in your core wallet, never even leaving for a second. And if you keep like 1k on the cloud the staking from the XSN being on the cloud will make up for the cost of the masternode, and it will run indefinitely.

Can you elaborate further on staking 1k on the cloud? Are you saying If I put 1k xsn on the cloud the staking will pay for my MN yielding me essentially 15500 xsn for free?
