Where has our goddess been, and what's she up to this time?

It's only been like what? 15 years?

There is no point in hyping it up. This has happened a dozen times and always ended up being nothing.

There's a new LN confirmed.

Looks like there's a 10th-anniversary box set, too, and they spun up a marketing Twitter dated at the end of August this year, @haruhi_official

of the books or the anime?

Wouldn't the anniversary have been in 2016?

Unless you go by the last release.

that's old lol...

There's a live performance from ENOZ it seems. No anime announcement.

Haruhi marketing has been fucking with us for its entire existence. This is the same series that delivered a complete-surprise season 2, but with EIGHT OF THE SAME EPISODE. It was a chaotic time, and it still is. It has been fun, though. Even earlier this year, they put out this troll shit:

>Animation studio Satelight has announced that the third season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to a recent press release.

>“As is the case for so many entertainment productions, we have been forced to cancel the new third season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya we have secretly been working on, due to COVID19,” said Satelight president Michiaki Satō. “We totally were almost done with the series too, but we’ll have to scrap it all now and it will unfortunately never be seen by the public.”

Considering both the new audio on the site and this tweet: twitter.com/haruhi_official/status/1329661756633882624 it looks like something will happen/be announced on the 25th (that isn't just the release of the new book).
I wouldn't be surprised if they announced another novel.

They are posting news to the site, though.

That wasn't Haruhi marketing, it was a fake story from some satire site.

why not a last one? since this one is the most promising

If they do release a new one after the next one, I hope it's going to be the last one so that at least the novels will get a proper ending. The last thing long-suffering fans need is yet another years-long wait and the possibility of the series remaining unfinished.

The story can't be wrapped up in one book, so unless Tanigawa returns to the pace he had 2003-2007 the series won't be finished for another decade.

this is gonna be BIG! I can feel it

this user feels it gonna be BIG

Who knows, maybe the new one will set up for one then the next one is the ending. I'm just tired of waiting for years while nothing happens.

I've been let down so many times, yet I still hold faith in my goddess.
