Protagonist's rightfully earned good ending gets ripped away from him in the sequel

>protagonist's rightfully earned good ending gets ripped away from him in the sequel
why?

To create more stories for the fans to read. Either to create a better story than the last and perhaps surpassing the prequel or to drag it out even more.

it was still fun

What the fuck, this got a sequel?

I fucking HATE when series do this. It’s exactly why I haven’t read Boruto and won’t read the Steins;Gate sequel, it just undermines everything that came before.

Steins;Gate sequel is a prequel.

At least the author won't drag his wife and child into it right?

Better than the opposite, like what happened to the MC from Kengan Asura in the sequel.

I remember the first series started out like shit but just got better and better as it went along. How is the sequel series so far?

Wasn't the borderlands just limbo after a disaster?

only 5 chapters so far so it's hard to tell. mainly just him feeling deja vu.

should i read this?

It was, people who died died in real life and people who beat it could pick to return to the world or remain in there and make new games for newcomers.

the original series is pretty good, just be warned that the beginning is rough, I think once they reach the beach it gets better.

yeah. it's one of the better death game manga out there. i liked the ovas too.

It's not bad but I have to wonder where he plans on taking it.

How the hell is there a sequel with the same character? Did he die again?

They could have just wrote a different story in the same setting.

yep, a sign fell on him and he died

Did you not read the final arc? The Borderlands have no answers. The people who survived were always destined to survive, and the ones who died were always destined to die.

He and 5 others got hit by a falling sign during a typhoon. Note that the seventh guy that got chunked by the lasers was not among this group. He's probably their ticket to clearing the game.

like suzuka and fuuka but then again we are talking about the madlad SEO

You complain, but it's so, so much better than the opposite: protagonist having a tragic end which then gets undone in the sequel. See: Kengan, Kurosawa.

It's weird how MC doesn't consider all the clues given to him, including the pods having a limit, using death cards on dead people and using the dead people's phones.

There was also the line about the rules being absolute yet it mentioned nothing about violence and it still got punished.

Maybe Ohma will die again, this time for good, by the end of Omega.

I'll happily eat my words, but he's not the protagonist anymore. It wouldn't have any of the weight, not even factoring in that we were burned once before.
The original ending worked because it wrapped things up nicely. He fought harder than he ever had to in his life, destroying himself in doing so and finally meeting his match in the finals. Despite losing, he died with no regrets. Walking that back spits on the character's entire arc, you can't just undo it by doing it again.

I just hope the conspiracy levels ramp up hard or something and we get some crazy revelations about the puppet masters behind the scenes, would honestly redeem it, yeah. I hope Ohma's revival factors into that too.

Yeah if it's really a sequel I'm not thrilled. If the Steins Gate world-line is doomed they really have no future.

Thought on the female MC spinoff? I think it's good.

Wait, what happened to the MC and his girlfriend?
