Until the GS ratio hits 1:60 buy silver, then buy gold. Don't buy nice coins or whatever, just go to JMB or SDB and buy whatever is cheapest. Yes you will have to pay a premium there, but it is also basically guaranteed not to be a fake.
I would go 30 / 70 silver will go higher % wise and is easier to sell in small quantities

To the anons wondering about RH, you can trade 30 min pre-market and up to 3 hrs after-market. Since the volume is low usually you might not be able to buy or sell if you want a certain price. I always recommend having a limit buy because they can/will screw you a couple percent if you don't, especially pre-market

I convinced my parents to put 50k into PMs. I leaned them towards 50% GLD and 50% SLV because they are older and don't need the stress and aggravation, the high premiums, the Tyronne risk, the heavy weight, the difficulty of buying and selling and the exorbitant taxes being a physical metal investor can bring. However, with the way silver is continually pumping and how cheap it is still is I wonder if I made a mistake by not telling them to put all their chips on the SLV moon shot like I did

Prioritize silver over gold atm. Raio between the two metals is high. The real ratio is bellow 30silv for 1 gold. This means you are 'buying' more gold for every x ounces of silver you buy right now. Have both to hedge. I cannot give you a real number as there is probably no right answer. I am approx 44:1 (silver to gold) ounces and 38:75 (s:g) in terms of dollars invested. If I had to do it again (I was not aware of the ratio when I started buying) I would do more 100:1 ounces and ride it out. If the ratio ever kicks back up into to 120's ill be dumping a few of my gold for silver.
it's a cheap way to get fractional silver and it's also more durable as pocket money due to the silver copper alloy

Depends on the price. People usually pay a premium for it to be in so many divisible bars in a set. To throw that set off could lower the premium a bit, but gold is still gold at the end of the day.

Be patient. People who bought silver when the GSR was 1:110 were asking the same question when it went to 1:125. Those people are now extremely happy if they held firm. Do the same with your mining stocks and you will achieve the same result.
