This is my problem with Super. There are no real stakes or suspense for Goku and pals. You already have the Dragonballs which has always been a plot device to cheat death which is bullshit but been a thing for decades. But now if they choose not to spam Dragonballs as much, they have an angel friend who can reverse time or revive them free of charge despite breaking the rules and then have a god of destruction sort of friend who would also help because "muh food even though it's more than that but I don't wanna say it".
And on top of that, you know these guys would be survive anything in Super because EoZ. Honestly that's honestly why I don't really tune into Super as much.

Angels like Whis aren’t allowed to show bias and get involved with these type of things, and Beerus simply doesn’t care to. Just because they have the ability to do something, doesn’t mean they actually will, want, or CAN do so. Also the Dragon Balls have their limitations, with the biggest one being how if the Earth blows up, or they get destroyed, you can no longer use them.
