are there any reasonable alternatives to detolf or non-ikea shelves?
unsure of getting detolf cause of shatter potential, ikea shit is all particle board or risk of falling over (floor is not level) and needs anchored but its infront of a window. and from furniture stores are like $500+

Anyway, if you look hard enough you'll surely find something robust and not too expensive (although never as cheap per square meter). For instance I found this which has about three times a detolf's capacity, but a standing 1/4 definitely wouldn't fit

Putting a glass case for figures in front of a window is a terrible idea.
Also, there are no inexpensive wildly-available alternatives to the detolf. You either have a unique local furniture shop with glass cases, or you're fucked.

My floor is uneven as fuck but I put some 1cm books on the back feet and it's been fine for like 4 years and a spirit level shows them as even.

pretty much, im dead low on room space and have no other options to put it anywhere else. my current desk has a built in shelf but it wont last for next years figures (or really, for even 1 more figure) so need something else. i'd go for another desk with more shelves but thats hard to find too, theyre all much smaller or crappier and was lucky to get this huge ass desk for $50. probably try to go for wood shelf but hard to find something thats not ugly, right size for the space i have left, and not an entire weeks paycheck
