>first series is the peak
>sequels are worse
So many cases
First series is the peak
Look up regression to the mean.
Pic unrelated.
katanamonogatari is the best
The final season was the best though, or couldn't you get that far?
It peaked with Second Series though. Or Kizu.
bake just had a more edgy tone
plenty of the parts that came after easily surpass it
Truly Koyomimonogatari was the peak of the series.
What a pleb opinion, take your shitty (you) faggot OP and fuck off
monogatari is the most consistent series there is. it peaked with second series and ascended with final season. nise, neko and kizu are also extremely underrated.
based
agreed
True. Second Season was significantly weaker, and everything after that (chronologically) was getting even worse. Monogatari was at it's peak when it didn't descend into serious plots, darker tones and drama.
>Crab is the best pleb filter
Objective fact.
Plebs like OP just can't keep up with the pseudo intellectual dialogue and gets sick of it at the end of first installment hence dropping it, This is a common occurrence when watching series like these.
Some of its mysteries should have been kept hidden, yeah.
>To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Monogatari
Iye,
To be fair you need to have high reading comprehension and vocabulary to enjoy the series to the fullest. Googling a word everytime keeps you from enjoying it. Yeah so that's what im implying user san. or maybe you just aren't into heavy dialogue series unlike me
Yes.
Aside from those factors i can't think of anything that can prevent you from enjoying it really. Going to rewatch it on my birthday
Considering a awful lot of retards honestly thought Kaiki died, yes.
Just say you’re in it for the waifufagging and go
>i don't fucking know what im talking about
The moment I realised series got worse was when Nisio assassinated Snake's popularity. It's not like that happened out of the blue, but it still was a sign that Monogatari would no longer be the same, that he can suddenly make some character a villain by some magic.
>Second Season was significantly weaker
Visually and aesthetically yes, Shaft was spread thin making the rebellion and it shows.
Narratively it was miles better than bake tho.
2nd Season is better
It's "many such cases". Get your memes right.
I just finished watching Hitagi End and it was probably the best arc so far.
Are there any theories about what Kaiki was lying about in his narration?
>implying second season=visually and aesthetically weaker
>Monogatari was at it's peak when it didn't descend into serious plots, darker tones and drama.
so never?
Why don't they just have a threesome? Would Shinobu watching make it four?
>Narratively it was miles better than bake tho.
I could agree that plot got more complex. But dialogues got less exciting, the atmosphere devolved into something less pleasant and for me Ougi's introduction felt like the beginning of the end. She\he is probably one thing I dislike about later Monogatari the most. It's like Nisio tried to make one more character with witty dialogues, but ultimately failed and made something absolutely uninspiring. She talks a lot, but there wasn't a single time when a dialogue with her felt interesting or fun.
I get what you mean but Ougi wasn't that prevalent in second series, those arcs can still be enjoyed on their own without caring much about rrg's arc yet.
