Do gamers really?

How about 3DCG pill?

I think the framerate of anime should be reduced actually to 10 fps so viewers can enjoy every detail those poor animators pour their time and effort into while giving them a break.

woah it looks like shit

sugoi

>60 fps
>for an animation with at most 10 keyframes per second
no reason to make it 60fps at all

I'd say it has potential. Now it just needs every other aspect of an anime like shitty story and fan service.

Actually looks disgusting. I'm gonna guess OP doesn't watch anime and/or thinks 3DCG is better than drawn.

Memes aside, I do think it would be interesting to see projects that were in higher framerates, even if it were just for some specific scenes. I do understand that it would mean lots of more work, so I'm not expecting it to happen.

>people still reply to this bait thread which was reposted an n amount of times

My tv has this "True Motion" setting where gives most 24fps or 29.97fps media a "Soap Opera" effect. AND I LIKE IT

Yes gamers really.

Is anime actually at 24 fps? Sometimes it can seem like there isn't enough frames, don't know how else to describe it. Like it isn't smooth enough.

It's not constant but most anime maxed out at 24fps

Anime is animated in threes (8 fps) instead of ones (24 fps) unless it's a sakuga scene or outright rotoscoping.

Majority is 8 fps, especially for those scenes with just talking and barely any movement.

The playback is 24fps but japs rarely animate on 1s (new drawing every single frame), usually 2s and 3s. This gives them leniency when it comes to simple vs. more complex or action driven scenes.

i thought this was Yonagi at first ...

>makes anime look like a soap opera
NINTENDO, HIRE THIS MAN

You can literally watch almost any anime 60 fps anime on UHD TV. I do. I think it's some kind of default setting or some shit.

I remember watching anime with some video player that converted it into 60 fps a few years back and it was mixed results. Something like Bakemonogatari worked well enough but for older anime it just didn't work.
Surprised to see it mentioned a bunch now. Did it get any better?

looks dusgusting
