ITT: Worst arc of its series
I'm counting the whole time in the prison as one mega arc. The time in prison was the fucking worst but turned KINO when they got out.

Fuck you Skypiea was great.
it just dragged a little. If it was 10 chapters shorter, maybe a few off the world building in the front, a few out the middle with the 'ordeals' and it would've been fine. And there's no denying how kino Jaya was and how important it turned out to be foreshadowing upcoming events.
You could fix Skypiea with about 5 minutes of thought, so I don't really see it as the 'worst' arc. Honestly, Thriller Bark had more dull spots for me, and Usopp's arc with Kuro's plan with Jango didn't make too much sense either.

Worst arc of Hunter x Hunter is the election arc and it’s not even close.
Alluka is the biggest asspull of the series and made Gon’s sacrifice in the previous arc a complete joke. He was also used to push a cringe tranny acceptance message too.
The actual election itself is so boring that not even the characters in-universe give a shit about it.

This is the general consensus among fans, but I've never agreed. I think with this arc Toriyama was trying to get back spiritually to dragon ball, things had gotten so heavy during the Namek and Android Sagas, and there's a lot of humor and stuff that feels dragon ball, like the final boss' initial absurd appearance, fusion, ssj3. I also loved how Mr. Satan unironically saved the earth not once, but twice. To top it off Buu's final appearance is intended as a kind of role reversal, all his life Goku has been a kid fighting muscular monsters, but for his final battle Goku is the big muscle veteran fighter up against a monster child, very zen ending.

I hate Skypeia because everything not on gods island was boring as fuck. The sky city was ugly and looked like no one actually lived there.

That doesn't seem like Wano or Cake Island.
The big problem many people had with Buu is that Toriyama planned Gohan to be the hero and changed his mind half-way through, making all of this feel quite directionless. Gohan and Gotenks' training only ended up leading to a power-up for a villain for what wasn't even the final fight. Similarly the whole fusion concept. Toriyama has always been writing on the edge of his pants, but it has never come apart quite this much. Android arc has also been all over the place, but it was mostly in the first half, once Goku wakes up the focus shifts to this whole "overcoming super-Saiyan" thing which ends up paying off in the end (after few red herrings), while also paying off this whole "Gohan's incredible potential" thing. So the ending here is way more satisfying even though each of those is a mess.
WCI is one of the best arcs in the series actually. And it's definitely the best post-timeskip arc.
