I know the series is famous for cheating, but this is reaching levels of blatant cheating by the protagonist I never thought possible. How did you react when you saw it?
I just consider it as Nail's win. Who cares what the writers do next, this is blatant cheating. I usually root for the villains anyway as they're more fair players than the good guys.
