Naruto had about as much meaningful interaction with Hinata as Ichigo did with Orihime, the movie isn't filler and simply expands on Naruto's own emotional maturity, Hinata absolutely supports the Hokage working hard for the sake of the village because she's not emotionally needy, and her children are extremely strong for their ages.
Nice job pretending Ichigo wasn't more or less completely asexual for the run of the manga before the end of the manga though.
