Also do things play out slightly different in every loop Rika goes through?

That's the whole point of Gou is it not?

Yeah, but the same thing also happened in the original anime and in the VN. What I meant to ask is what's the in universe explanation for that?

Despite everything, did Rika have fun?

I dunno, something about butterfly effect?

Just butterfly effects of random chance. The story doesn't treat actions as wholly predetermined going forward from whatever point Rika jumps in at (and also doesn't necessarily mean the past played out the exact same, either) - but they do have more or less common shapes that can be recognized.

Like, she doesn't like fragments where Teppei comes because Satoko suffers. If K1 goes to Tokyo for a funeral, it's likely she's in an Onikakushi-like timeline. There never was one shown in the original 8 chapters, but Rika noted that a couple of fragments, K1 never even moved to Hinamizawa, and those were the worst ones of all. Rika's never working with perfect information or guarantees, just knowledge she's mostly accumulated over time.

What even happens in the loops where K1 never shows up?

>but Rika noted that a couple of fragments, K1 never even moved to Hinamizawa, and those were the worst ones of all.
Like what?

>Also do things play out slightly different in every loop Rika goes through?
A common misconception is that Rika is on a Groundhog Day loop, but that's not exactly the case. In a loop like that Rika would always "reset" to the same exact point in time, so everything would always play the same unless she directly affected things to turn out different. What you could say happens when Rika dies is that she "takes over" the Rika from another fragment/timeline, which are already split. So if you go by the theory that there are infinite timelines based on every choice you or anyone else makes it means Rika can end up in world were everything happens different based on different desitions made by other people both before the chronological start of the "loop" or during it. I'm mostly talking out of my ass, this is just how I see it working

we just know rika hated them

Do you think we will see something like that in the anime?

It'd be interesting, but I'd guess only as either part of a longer story or a very short "arc"

K1 is a retard

Wouldn't it be funny if this arc ends with him actually committing arson?

There has to be a timeline where Satoko doesn't show up to save his stupid ass and he dies in the resulting house fire.

Anyone who knows their way around a kitchen should know this. Of course Dumbtoko would struggle to answer.

why does satoko murder her friends

Look up Saikoroshi-hen.

Higurashi Gou solved by Italian_user as a mystery without care about vn,time loop, meta ect....
Lambda and Bern confirm that the offical solution is fake
so Gou will show the real solution

Mastermind: Rika(confirmed by Mion + she knew about Takano and Tomitake Status)
Culprit(dirty work): Ooishi
motive: hide the dark past of hinamizawa

excavations of the dam would surely have revealed Hinamizawa's past to the public (as Takano said) so the 3 large families led by Rika (as Mion said) use the curse of oyashiro to kill those in favor of the dam.
in every game Takano and Tomitake pretend a relationship in order to get evidence of these murders, which is located in the furude warehouse, this is the reason for their death.

Game 1:Rika discovers that Keichi is investigating the case and so Ooishi is sent to settle it. Ooishi made K1 to suspect about Rena with fake news , meanwhile Rika use Rena's fanatism about Oyashiro to make her kill K1
Game 2:Thanks to the help of Shion and Keichi Takano and Tomitake they manage to find evidence but according to Rika they were eventually killed anyway. Keichi confirmed that he knew nothing and was spared but Shion was aware when he had helped him so she was killed, the death of her sister turned Mion against the 3 families but she was eventually killed by Ooishi who modified the crime scenes making Mion seem guilty.

Problems:
if Rika is the mastermind why she die?(we never see her body, maybe?)
why Satoko die? this new game will explaint it to us

wait for more episode to improve this theory if you have some additios send to me
