The pacing got thrown out the window since the first episode. At least the animations are good, so it's not as awful as BC's adaptation.

The first two episodes had pretty good pacing and direction though, except for the principal scene,.

Yuji's grandpa's death was handled in the worst way possible, so, I don't agree.

Was it? Honestly I don't get this hangup ever, his death was handled the same as in the manga, and the anime even added a cremation scene. Yuji never really spent much time in mourning in the original.
