No, I get it. If you really like a series and you want to do something to help its community, not to mention something which involves a fair amount of artistry (if you're not a retard, translation is similar to creative writing), then it'd definitely put me out if someone else came along and started releasing their own version just before mine. Yeah, they are surprisingly decent.
Every electronic I've bought for them for the vacation home has been reliable.
The 3-euros-for-6 socks I've been buying from them have been more durable than proper brand items.
Shorts, gym pants and other clothing as well.
I'd never buy food from them though.

if you do it for passion then of course you're going to move on if someone is translating the series.
i've done slightly over 300 chapters of various weekly/monthly series I found interesting and if someone wants to snipe me, that's fine. I'll just move on to something else.

In Australia we have 2 massive shitcunt corporation supermarkets that price gouge and fuck over farmers and suppliers. We also have Aldi that don't fuck around and sell products that come from the same factories as the other supermarkets but at a fair price. The non-food items are shit but you shouldn't buy any of that from a supermarket. I only buy from Aldi and speciality stores.
When I lived in Germany, I went to Lidl. Decent items for very cheap prices. Better quality than Aldi in Australia for a lot of products.
