Why aren't there more female rivals in anime?
Why aren't there more female rivals in anime?
Japanese don't regard females are menacing as males. They are more on the treacherous type.
Teenage boys can't handle that even in their fantasies
Because it would just end in sex. Then the series ends.
How about you fuck off with your retarded fetish
Because the western image of women being any special is fading away, and seriously why would a shonen have a woman rival. So let's take pic related. Vegeta is a woman. She is fighting Goku at the age where he was in his peak form physically. With sheer strength alone, he would body her.
Women rarely preform as well as males in any competitive environment. It's not even limited to martial arts and sports where males preforming better is evident looking at the male female physique. But even a basic mental exercise such as chess shows females preforming drastically worse.
Women rivalling men just isn't realistic.
Nobody will take the anime seriously. Yes, even less seriously than now.
Men can't write realistic female characters
Because not many authors made them. Next?
We're talking about anime, not real life
Because women are a joke and not taken seriously.
Suddenly I'm starting to imagine Femgeta being a tsundere...
They're usually not gay and more autistic/dramatic.
The point he's trying to make is that the 2D world have some logic and basis in our world. Not to mention that majority anime are meant for salary men and teenagers to self-insert. That mean having a female rival or opposite sex rival won't attract enough people to buy their shits to warrant another season or the series to continue because niche market in Japan don't bring enough dough compared to China or America. The worst part is that if it is successful and popular, the new fans and bandwagoners will demand the rivals to fall in love with the MC or some dumb plot shit. You can see this phenomenon in Jashin-chan where season 1 Jashin-chan was fucking brutally evil to the point where she drop kick an angel and steal her only food on Christmas day in comparison to season 2 where Jashin-chan's evilness and brutality has been significantly brought down to rated PG tier.
Suspension of disbelief
He already is a tsundere.
>Why aren't there more female rivals in anime?
SnK had a pretty awesome one early on until she got sidelined from the story for over half a decade and only came back after it was too late to build on her and Eren's rivalry/sexual tension from the first couple of arcs in any meaningful way.
Unironically still the most intimidating titan
>Unironically still the most intimidating titan
She's definitely up there, especially during the main cast's first expedition beyond the walls. She was basically a 50 foot tall Terminator.
Because boys like watching boys fight other boys and girls like watching boys fight other boys
They're too strong, the MC would never defeat them.
Earth doesn't have to have gravity, it's not real life.
What ARE some examples of female rival characters in a series where the MC is male?
The only one I can think of is Sherry in Gash Bell, and even then Brago is male
>Why aren't there more female rivals in anime?
Because scenes like that one are retarded and gay.
Yes.
>t. gay retard
>t. gay retard
No.
She wasn’t a rival.
This but unironically
