I'm a developer

What should I use Chainlink for?

Uses as a payment method.

Probably to get external data into your smart contracts

To tow your trailer back to the RV campground Jeff.

making you rich

Penis tattoo

Getting free money from Sergey subsidies

It has no real use case it's a meme.
If you're a dev you should probably get into IOTA.
Really interesting project and tech.

You buy it high and sell it low

>If you're a dev you should probably get into IOTA.
>Really interesting project and tech.

Why. What can I do with it?

Yes tax write off for donations to starving parsers

That's a pretty broad question lmao. What kind of developer? I'm a developer, too, but I do graphics.

>What can I do with it?
lose money

Feeless smart-contracts, feeless data management.
Send data without value, send data with value.
Plus the protocol is highly modular so a lot of new stuff is being added right now (Smart contract is about be deployed soon(TM))
Etc. pp.

You should use it by buying it and retiring as a software developer

you forgot to mention how it's centralized

2017 called, they want their shitcoin back

>What kind of developer?

Python, Javascript.
I've built web scrapers and other bots. I write programs that edit video. I have a grasp of neural networks, though training takes to long for it to work with.
I'm a MERN developer too.

Is there a specific product or service Chainlink plays a part in providing that is in use right now?

So you're unemployed LMAO
Fuck off retard, this is corporate level technology, not some toy you make a phone app with

>this is corporate level technology

New technology isn't implemented by corporations, retard. They usually can't use it.
If you knew what it did you could tell me what I should build with it.

Start building smart contracts in Solidity. If I were you I'd just learn about setting up node infrastructure so you'd be ready with staking. I assume you're proficient at the command line right? If so, you'll be fine. Just that and Cloud DevOps. Start at the chainlink docs

Remake that paypal API some guy made so we can trade directly via paypal.
Or if there was a way to get data from Tinder you could link it to a Facebook API and make a decentralized thot verificator. With track record and coal burning status.

its useless, nobody uses it for anything, only speculation. Oracle problem is unsolvable. Show me a real life actually used project with oracle problem solved, you can't.

This. Selling now

You should use it to conquer the oracle problem

decentralized post rape prolapsed anus massage price feeds from the real world connected to any blockchain you choose

Use it to get rich

>Oracle problem is unsolvable

Why?
Break it down for us.

If you want a decentralised system to just float in cloud in a decentralised manner and operate based on input data, then source of that input data will always be centralised.

So the idea is you will be able to make bets on weather tomorrow which will be fed in via oracle.

Ok, so you will have 1000 oracles to make it "decentralised", but it really won't be, because there will be one or few main centers feeding the oracle the "weather data". So if that center gets compromised (and it will due to financial incentive) someone makes a bet in the crypto market and makes out like a bandit.

For example, boxing fights.

So how the fuck will you have an oracle for that? So let's say a winner wins and that data gets published on official UFC website and what not. And how can you be sure Oracle will receive that data correctly, how can you be sure there won't be manipulation? Besides, there will be incentive for manipulation, since if you have decentralised betting markets you are incentivised to bug the website out and send wrong signals of winners to the oracle and then make millions in your untraceable crypto currency.

In real world this doesn't work, because there are checks and balances and if you fraud a betting site they will freeze your account. But you can't do that with crypto, so it just adds an exploit.

Is English your first language?

Yeah I've never understood how chainlink actually solves this problem, and nobody else on the face of the earth does either.

>Besides, there will be incentive for manipulation

I don't know much about this so explain if I'm wrong... Aren't the oracles going to be required to stake, to put up collateral for their "verdict"?

Just scrape yahoo finance, coinbase, etc and resell it. That's literally all it's being used for right now.
