I feel like I'd enjoy this show more if they weren't the same arcs with very minor (albeit crucial) differences. Are we allowed to openly discuss the original here or are there still newfriends tagging along? Because the one thing I'm not too sure on is in Tatarigoroshi, how did K1 slip between worlds? Or was the world where he killed Teppei an illusion caused by L5 symptoms?

K1 didn't slip between any worlds. He killed Teppei, then the Sonozakis removed the body. Mion knew what he was up to. And later they talked about him in class as if he was at the festival just to make an alibi for him.

It's not like that. K1 did kill Teppei but then a few things happened that made K1 think he somehow transferred world. The Sonozakis removed the body, his clubmates made an alibi for him in the festival and finally Satoko (L5) allucinated his uncle after he killed him. K1's paranoia made him take these events the wrong way and he ended up thinking he transferred worlds and that he was cursed.

It's very open for debate honestly, many anons even think there were multiple killers in both sonozakis. But the twin we see in episode 8 is pretty much assured to be Mion by her dialogue and the nuances in her behavior

You can discuss anything about Higurashi in these threads, not just Gou. If you just read the 8 main arcs and haven't read Saikoroshi yet, go read it. It is the canon epilogue of the story after Matsuribayashi.
Also, there's a lot of Umineko posting in these threads so you may get spoiled if you haven't read it. Make sure to use filters to avoid spoilers or at least try to not read Umineko related posts.

It would still be tragic if it was Rika, but in a certain way I kind of expect it - if she goes glowy red eyes Rikastel mode on him while he's L4/5 I could see him going over the edge on her.
It would hurt a bit more if it was Satoko. She's always been the most innocent and childlike club member and it would sting quite a bit if, on top of the abuse from her uncle, the boy she viewed almost as a brother ends up beating her to death.

Every time Rika dies, she's transported to another parallel world by Hanyuu aka Oyashiro.
She's been looping for 100 years already in episode 1 of the 200X anime until she finally broke free at the end of Higurashi Kai by defeating the main villain Takano.
Higurashi Gou shows us that the happy ending in Higurashi Kai didn't last and Rika will have to continue looping, possibly for many hundred years more.
