How did an eroge light novel turn into a multi billion dollar franchise?
How did an eroge light novel turn into a multi billion dollar franchise?
*Visual
sell it to some weaboo director to make anime, then let then do an actually good version of you creation, then turn it all in mobileshit.
Simple It became marketable
>one sex scene for every 30 hours of reading
if fate is an eroge it's one of the worst eroge of all time
it's one of the most queer-friendly japanese franchise out there
Only people who keep talking about "muh eroge" are people that never read the VN. I actually picked up the VN because it was an eroge and I wanted something to fap to. Like 10 hours of reading before the first sex scene and by that point I'd completely forgotten about it and it came as a surprise. The entire game is like 80 hours long if you actually listen to all the dialogue and get every ending, the sex scenes don't even make up 1 hour of that runtime, probably not even 30 minutes of it.
Because Tohsaka's anus is my waifu
What? Go back to Zig Forums
Because of Archer.

It's entirely FGO's fault, Fate hadn't made a billion dollars before it started printing money. So the answer is, take the basic idea of turning historical/mythological figures into waifus and husbandos, throw some good artists on it, and make it a gachca game.
Gotta admit, Archer is a good argument against heterosexuality
Literally what is this retard talking about.
>Hating FGO
FGO gave us Ishtar
GAR
If my memory doesn't fail me, it wasn't even supposed to be an eroge, but they were forced to include sex, because it sells.
I guess that's also why the scenes are so awfully written.
The again so is Gilgamesh
30:1 ratio isn't that bad. I'd say most non-sex focused eroge are around 20:1 or so.
Where did I say I hate FGO?
I've read the eroge, and think it's an eroge.
What now retard?
Will you finally realize that any hentai, and people will call it an eroge? The term you are probably thinking of when you say "eroge" is "nukige", which means the visual novel is mostly sex. That, I agree, the eroge is not.
>eroge light novel
That's nothing but a meme promulgated by people who only played the RN version. They did a re-release of the original PC version, twice, including one as recent as 2019. If what you said was true they'd have no reason to ever re-release the original version if they were so ashamed of it, they'd just use RN as the new official version. The final nail in the coffin of this dumb theory is that even the Ufotable adaptation of Heaven's Feel includes the sex scenes from the original VN rather than the RN rewrite of the route.
Were some sex scenes probably forced? Yeah, cause they wanted to balance the heroines. But some sex scenes were also always intended to be part of the story.
I know what it means, and I never once said it wasn't actually eroge. I said the only people who harp on about it being an eroge never played it. Because playing F/SN for its ero scenes is a hilariously, stupidly bad return on investment. You get 80+ hours of content and less than 1% is ero.
>Were some sex scenes probably forced?
Every single one except Saber 1 and Sakuras 1st and 3rd were forced
>queer
Kill yourself.
Honestly it would have been better if it was zero percent ero.
And that's like half of them.

Top tier character designs
Excellent writing
Decent to amazing anime adaptations
Marketable concept that was perfect for gacha
Equal parts dumb schlocky fun and engaging drama
Iconic imagery from the VN
Killer soundtrack
Top tier waifus like mine here
>Saber 1
>not forced
yeah lets just stop in the middle of being chased by BAH-SAH-KAH and fuck in this awful shack that actually has a pretty nice bed in it.
It was a ruined house and it was the only way they could pump Saber full of hot sticky mana.
they had no hope of getting out if they didn't restore Saber somehow, having a convenient infodump of a way out makes sense(never played tsukihime or read knk so i don't know if the mana transfer with sex was a thing before)
