Kikyo never truly accepted him to begin with. She was pressuring him to use the jewel to become a full human. Inuyasha only started healing because Kagome didn't want him to become a full human or a full demon.

So do they have the same issues as Inuyasha where they become full humans during new moons, or how they lose control to their demonic instincts if pushed too far?

there's zero reason to like these new characters (except maybe Moroha), the plot is a jumbled mess and it creates more questions than answers of which the fanbase finally got bored of coming up with new theories.

We still don't know if they have these issues yet.
